Patrick (Pat) Craven, 50, passed to his heavenly reward on November 13, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice. He was a loving husband, devoted father, son, brother, and a dear friend to many. Born in Miami, raised in Summerfield, Patrick lived a life full of laughter, love, and devotion. He had many occupations, but his last was owner and operator of a pilot car business.

Outside of work you could find him out fishing, hunting, golfing, and riding his side by side at Hog Waller. He shared a love for speed with his father. Racing BMX bikes as a youth was a steppingstone to road racing Mazda in SCCA. In his later years, he raced Go-Karts and was legendary at the Burbank track and Marion County Speedway.

Patrick will be greatly missed by his wife Jessica, sons: Kaleb, Brice, and Joseph, his parents: Jeanne and Steve, sisters: Amanda (Mitch) and Alicia (Stephen) nieces and nephews, extended family, and many, many friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his brother Eric Dean and his mother Denise Dean.

Patrick truly touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his loyalty.

Services will be held at Countryside Funeral Home on Friday November 21St at 3pm, accepting family and friends at 2pm. Those wishing to proceed to the graveside ceremony will be directed to the Orange Springs Cemetery. Refreshments will follow at the Orange Springs Civic Center.

The family asks that you dress in camouflage or blue and, if possible, bring a dish to share for the meal.

Patrick may have left this world, but he left wonderful memories that will live in our hearts. We can have the comfort knowing he is now with Our Lord.
