Patrick J. Duffy

Patrick "Paddy" Duffy, 71, of Warrington, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on May 2, 2022 surrounded by his family. Paddy is survived by his wife, Mary Anne "Marian" of 49 years, his children Brendan (Lauren), Fiona (Robert), and Deirdre (Laramie), his grandchildren Cecilia, Savannah, Tadwell, Beatrice, Declan, and Alexandra, his siblings Mary, Anne (Paul), and John (Carol), and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Delia, his son Adrian, and his sisters Nuala, Eileen, and Beatrice. Paddy was a firm believer that it is not what you take when you leave this world behind you, it's what you leave behind you when you go, and in true Irish fashion he left behind a legacy of love, loyalty and friendship. Paddy was born in Cloonara, Swinford, Co. Mayo Ireland on January 19, 1951 arriving minutes before his twin brother, John. Growing up he was an avid sports enthusiast and when he was not working on the family farm, he spent much of his youth playing Gaelic football and soccer. At fourteen, he met the future Mrs. Duffy at a Swinford dance. Paddy and Marian got married in 1973 and started their life together in London. After visiting family in the United States, Paddy and Marian made an uncharacteristically spontaneous decision to move to Pennsylvania in 1977 where he proudly became a US citizen in 1993. He lived his life as devoted father, husband, and friend. Over the years Paddy worked for Rorer, McNeil, and the Central Bucks School District. He will forever be remembered for his jovial personality and his strong work ethic. When he was not at work he could be found working around the house, tending to his lawn or catching up with friends on the phone. Visitation will be held at Saint Robert Bellarmine Church (856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, PA) on Thursday, May 19 from 9am to 11am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Paddy to the Salvation Army.
