I have known Pat since I was 7 years old. My grandparents lived 2 doors from Pat's HOME. Pat was one of our group who proudly called ourselves the "REED Street Boys." Our birthdays are one day apart and when we were younger Pat's parents would have Joint Birthday Party for us both. I will miss my old friend. I am sure he is now with his beloved family who he missed a great deal. Dave

Our sincere condolences to Pat´s family. To say that Pat was a cherished friend would be an understatement. I´ve know Pat since we were baseball team mates for several teams (Union City, Erie´s UPP) as 8-12 year olds. We continued our friendship throughout our youth, including high school years at East High. After graduation we hang out together, mostly across the NY State line (at Kelly´s), on an almost constant basis! I was especially thankful for Pat´s Father, being an Alderman, as we required his intervention for several of our more infamous escapades!!! Following 11/2 years of college we were getting into more and more trouble, so Pat, Vic, Jeff and I decided to see what the military had to offer. Long story short, we joined the Marines on a " Buddy" program, and after losing Jeff in a tragic accident, the 3 of us, Pat, Vic, and I went to Paris Island on February 13, 1967! And rest as they say, is history! After honorable discharge from the Marines, I, like Pat, didn´t return to Erie, rather I moved to the South marrying (50 years and counting) and raising a family. I want Pat´s family to know Pat had more friends than anyone I´ve ever known. He was a friend to everyone, and his love of family, friends, and country was obvious to everyone that knew/met PH. Honor, Courage, and Commitment, are Marine Corps values, and PH displayed them in spades. I love PH like a brother, I will miss him, and they´ll be a hole in my heart, but such wonderful memories of a life well lived, but taken from friends and family too soon. Semper FI!

I knew Pat from St Pats grade school. He was always a quiet, really nice guy who was always smiling. I have had some social media contact with him over the past several years and knew he had moved back to Erie from Texas and was living at the old homestead on 5th & Reed. Pat, you will be remembered and missed. Enjoy your reunion with Sophie (mom) and Jimmy (dad).
