Patrick Jordan

Passed away peacefully on April 22, 2014 at his home in Burien, WA surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was 84 years old. He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on November 16, 1929 to Edward and Maryanne Jordan. He was the last of six children. In 1956 he immigrated to the America in search of opportunity. He originally lived in Seattle but also lived in Chicago and Alaska. It was in Seattle where he met his future wife, Nora Jordan, also an Irish immigrant. The two married in 1962 and raised four children. He took great pride in the many places he worked which included work as a double-decker bus driver in Birmingham, England, construction for the Long Shot nuclear power program in the Alaskan Aleutian Islands and as a Senior Port Steward for Pan American Airlines. The family home and its garden was a source of joy for him for 48 years. If you ever stopped by his "castle" you were warmly welcomed with a beer, a whiskey and good craic! (Irish for a good time). He was preceded in death by of his five siblings. He is survived by his wife, Nora, of 52 years, four children, Barb (Mike), Tim, Bill (Krista) and Ted (Barb) and 5 grandchildren; Wyatt, Charlie, Sophie, Sabrina and Henry. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on May 17th at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Burien.
