Patrick O'Hara Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 8 to Mar. 9, 2023.
Patrick "Pat" O'Hara, 61, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2023, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born and raised in Lakewood, NJ, and later in life moved to Lakehurst, NJ, before retiring to Waco, Texas. Pat worked for Reade's Magnesium, working his way through the ranks for over 35 years. In addition, Pat was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Toms River before relocating and becoming a member of Redeemer Church in Waco, TX.

Pat was an avid fan of music and live concerts. He also loved animals and constantly cared for animals that had no family of their own. Pat was married to the love of his life Denise O'Hara for 39 years. In 2018, after Pat retired from Reade's, they decided to go on an adventure and move to Texas to enjoy the warmer weather.

Pat would always have a big smile and greet people with a welcoming "hello there" and was loved by anyone fortunate enough to spend time with him.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, Doris (Nee:LeCompte) and Harry O'Hara. He is survived by his loving wife Denise, his son Phil O'Hara and daughter in law Alli O'Hara. He is also survived by his brother John O'Hara and his wife Debbie O'Hara, and his sister Kathy O'Hara and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023 from 4 PM to 6 PM CST. The service will be held at Redeemer Church located at 2501 Redeemer Way, Waco, TX 76712. The funeral service will be live-streamed online on their website: https://redeemerwaco.org/

Additionally, a memorial service will be held in NJ at a future date. Further information to follow.
