Patrick John Pelzer

Patrick John Pelzer passed away on Tuesday April 30, 2019 at the age of 69 due to complications from bladder cancer. He grew up in New Orleans and was son of the late Patrick A. Pelzer and Ann G Cooner. Patrick Pelzer was a veteran of the Vietnam War and had a successful career as a magician. He was a charismatic, witty, creative, and talented man who fascinated at the wonders of science and reveled in making others laugh. Patrick was a long-time resident of Las Vegas and recently lived in Colorado Springs. He was survived by his wife, Joan Pelzer of Colorado Springs, CO, daughter from a previous marriage, Erika Pelzer of New Orleans, LA, sister Ann Borne of Covington LA, brother-in-law Mel Borne from Covington, LA, nephew Mell Borne III from Pass Christian, MS and step-daughter Joanna Stark Duke and her husband Joshua Duke of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by sisters Kathryn and Mary Pelzer. There will be no local service. Donations may be made to Dai Vernon Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
