On Saturday, May 22, 2010, of Frederick. Beloved son of Katherine L. and the late Raymond B. Young; brother of Raymond B. Young Jr., Alice A. Hilderbrand, Ramona J. Martin, Rita L. Wilt, Kathleen L. Fair and the late Mary K. Young and Ann S. Metz; uncle of Jimmy, Phyllis, Raymond III, Jennifer, Tammy, Uppie, Jonathan, Billy, Bryan, Tiffany, Alexa, Samuel, John, Heather and Bobbie Gail; great-uncle of 12; dear friend of Bull Wilt, Peggy Miller, Lisa Hinde, Kathy Burress and the late Ducky Wilt.

Pat Young joined the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department in 1973 and has served as an active member since. During that time he served in many positions including sergeant, lieutenant, captain, supply officer, delegate to MSFA and director. He also served on the House, Renovation, Awards, Social, Engine 34 and Supply and Protective Clothing Committees of the RVFD.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Pum-phrey's Colonial Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave. (Route 28 just off I-270 exit 6-A) Rockville. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville. Interment private.
