Patsy Marie Adams

Patsy Adams, formerly of Flushing & Kewadin, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home in Homosassa, Florida with her beloved dog, Crash in her lap & her daughter, Janet by her side.

Patsy was born at home in Swartz Creek, Michigan in 1935, the daughter of Everett Adams & Levon Young. She graduated from Flushing in 1953 & married Leroy Thomas, also of Flushing, on November 4, 1954. After some time in Japan where Leroy was stationed in the Air Force, Patsy lived in Flushing for most of her life, raising 3 daughters who all also graduated from Flushing. Besides being a wonderful mom & sister, Patsy was also a very successful administrator of Kith Haven Extended Care for over 25 years where she mentored many coworkers & friends. Patsy retired in 1995 & moved to Kewadin where she & her husband, Jim Adams, built a beautiful home on Torch Lake. Her later years were filled with her passion for landscaping & hosting all of the family and friends who loved spending time on Torch Lake with her. Patsy moved to Florida in 2022 to enjoy the warmth & sunshine. She was loved by all of her neighbors who knew "Miss Pat." Her last years were filled with reading & sightseeing, including many visits with her beloved sisters, Anna & Becky & her brother, Richard Hartz. Patsy lived a rich, full life, saying often "I'm so blessed." A memorial service is being held at First Congregational Church of Central Lake, Michigan on Saturday, June 29th at 11:00.

Surving Patsy are her daughters, Janet (Thomas) & husband, Brad Johnson, Diane (Thomas) & husband Greg Dobis, along with Patsy's beautiful sisters, Anna (Bill) Austin, Becky Adams Gauden, her brother, Richard (Denise) Hartz, her Grandchildren, Katy (Tim) Zuidema, Charla (Chris) Gallup, Celina (Sean) Hyland, Chance Dobis & Olivia Adams, as well as 6 great-children and many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Patsy's death was preceded by husband Leroy Thomas, daughter Susan (Ted) Kay Myers and husband, James Adams.
