Mrs. Patsy Jean Oglesby Archer

Patsy Jean (Oglesby) Archer, 67, of Paris passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21st, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Archer, the daughter of Turner F. & Horton Gertrude Haley Oglesby, was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Deport. She married Tommy Dee Archer on July 16, 1963, in Lubbock. While living in Paris she was store manager for Safeway for more than twenty years, and then she & her husband owned & operated Hometown Donuts before moving to Marshall where they owned & operated Tex-Pack for thirteen years. She was a member of Cypress Valley Bible Church in Marshall before retiring to Paris and joining New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Tommy, two daughters, Tonya Wheeler of Denver, CO and Tammy Anderson & husband Bill of Norman, OK, five grandchildren, Marcie Buel & Meagan Aydelott both of Denver, CO and Aaron Winn, Jacob Jones & Janessa Jones all of Oklahoma City, OK, five great grandchildren, two siblings, Scott Oglesby & wife Stephanie and Nancy Foster all of Paris along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Don Oglesby and a sister, Glenna Oglesby Carrington. Casket bearers will be: Brad Rodgers, Aaron Winn, Ronnie Archer, Nickolas Wilson, Alex Wilson & Jake Jones. Honorary bearers will be: Tillman Archer, Gary Archer, Billy Archer and Scott Oglesby.
