Patsy Darnell Obituary
Gate City, VA – Patsy A. Darnell – age 79
Patsy A. Darnell , 79 of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord after an extended period of declining health on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Patsy is the daughter of the late Canary Hammonds and Vadie McDavid Hammonds. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by several brothers and one sister. She attended Faith Bible Tabernacle.
Patsy is survived by her husband, James E. Darnell; three sons, James Mickey Darnell and wife Rochelle, Rickey Darnell and wife Leanna, and Jason Darnell and wife Jackie; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Jean Sexton; several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Noon in the Adams Cemetery (Manville Community). Friends who plan to attend the graveside are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:55 AM. Family and friends will serve at Pallbearers.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Colonial Funeral Home to assist family with funeral expenses.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff of NHC, Bristol, VA and to Colonial Funeral Home.
