Miss receiving emails from you as to how things are going. How is school going this year, and how the doggie is. Miss making that call when I think of you, just to say high.
Told my mom of the Orchid pics I would send you, and how each one sent, really made your day, and pics of my new niece and Chris with the baby. He'll be coming back to NY in Dec..
Just thought to drop you a line to let you know you are still thought of, and I put the Guest book on for a year.
Thoughtfully, Laurie & family

I remember Patsy from Rice, she had taught myself & my sister. I remember the Jaguar she owned, always spoke of San Antonio. I would call her & so glad to be able to have a great conversation w/her.
She was the greatest teacher of mine, & for a password, who was your favorite teacher, it was always Miss. Duncan.
She loved her dogs & life, her past & present students & teaching.
My heart goes fondly out to her family, whom she loved very much and shared much with me. My prayers go out to the family of Patsy, she will be missed by many whom knew & loved her. I will miss your emails, calling you to see how your doing & have many laughs.

It is sad to just learn of Patsy's death. I was fortunate to be one of her "little brothers" over a 50 year period. She treated me as one of her family, often having me sit at the dinner table for a meal when I might not have had one otherwise. Treating me like one of her students, she showed me unselfishness and gave me her wisdom and good advice as only a true friend could.

Dearest Family, my heart and prayers go out to you for our loss. I can remember how fondly she spoke of her family.
Family and friends we have truely lost a wonderful woman, teacher and friend. Even though I have not seen her for many years...I miss her so much!
This may sound silly but when I make a new password on the computer, I always use the secret question "Who was your favorite teacher?" and of course, who else could it have been...Ms. Duncan!
Thank you for "sharing her" with all of us! God Bless you ALL!

Prayers go out to family, friends and those who loved Ms. Duncan. I am honored to have had such a dedicated, memorable and such an inspirational teacher who was always so willing to help and listen. I can only pray that my children will have a teacher that will give them the time and love that you gave to us. You will be truly missed but never forgotten. Class of 1991

Miss Duncan was the only English teacher I had in junior high and high school. Some of the fondest memories I have of my school days include her and many of the other teachers and administrators of the 70's. One of the best memories I have of Miss Duncan happened after I graduated from college. I was in the third year of my teaching career when the state tested all current teachers with the TECAT test. This basic reading and writing test was given to all current Texas teachers. All teachers in Navarro County took the test at Corsicana High School and I happened to be seated next to her. I told her before the test that if I failed that it was her fault. She laughed and said that I was on my own for this one! She was more than just a teacher that taught us during the day and went home. I remember her telling me one day that her students were her "family". If that is true, what a legacy she has left for all of us! I am proud to be a member of her "family" and I know many others are as well. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Thank you Miss Duncan for touching my life and the lives of so many others! We will miss you.

She was an amazing Lady. She loved all of our kids. I can't count the times she would stop a student just to tell them she loved them. She told me once that hearing "I love you" from her might be the only time they ever heard those words, and every student needed to know they were loved. She made a great impact on my two oldest children, and when I started working at the school I understood why they loved her so much. She was a treasure!

My prayers are with everyone. She has touched so many lives so many times over and over again. She was funny yet serious. I had her my sophmore thru senior year and she taught my husband, two of my children and always let me in on all there behaviors. She let me know that we always use Mr. and Mrs,Ms. in front of every name and talking was not allowed in the front row seats. She was a very strong willed woman and I love her and will miss her very much! Heaven has received a wonderful angel that will look over her students forever.

My prayers are with you as you go through this tough time. I loved Ms. Duncan very much. I only had her last her as a freshman but that one year made me love her very much and I will miss her.
