The world is a better place because of what Patsy Gossett contributed. She was a loving, caring, dedicated teacher who not only taught her students well but provided an example to follow. May God's love provide strength and consolation to her family.

I have such fond memories of Pat in San Benito. Kenneth White took the cream of the crop with him to Mission. I spoke with Pat few years ago on the phone, and it was as though no time had passed at all. She is shining in Chapter eternal. Ann Zillafro Huie, Kerrville.

It was my priviledge to have Mrs. Gossett as my math teacher in San Benito. She was a wonderful teacher who inspired a whole cless. I offer my condolences to her whole family.

Heaven will be blessed with this beautiful angel, Patsy Gossett. She was a great teacher and a very gracious lady that inspired so many with the love of God in her heart and actions. D

I have yet to meet anyone as truly kind and genuine as Mrs. Gossett. She was so caring and nice that I tried to behave in her class, and for me that was hard. I am sad for the world's loss, but so happy to be one of the many her life touched. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Gossett at Mims Elementary. A very kind lady. Will never forget the time when she told me how she got back her borrowed pencils from students. She would keep one of their shoes and at the end of class her pencils always made it back. Very funny but effective. She will be missed.

Peace of the Lord Jesus be with her family at this time. She was a great lady. What a witness to everyone!

Mrs.Gossett was,and remains a "real deal" example of patience,love and commitment to teaching and to students.She never gave up on me as much as tried for her to do so. I and many others owe her much..but we repay her when we pass on what we learned from her. God Bless Mrs. Gossett!!

Mrs. Gossett was my ELP teacher at Mims Elementary and I will never forget how she made math and learning so much fun. She was a wonderful lady who touched many lives and she will be dearly missed.

I'll never forget Mrs. Gossett. She never gave up on us in Algebra II class and would teach the entire class period because for her, teaching wasn't just a job...she really wanted us to learn. I thank her for that. God blessed us with a truly wonderful person and role model.

I remember Mrs. Gossett so well. She was an excellent teacher and a truly lovely person. She had an exemplary life and I know she will be missed.

She was the most influential teacher I ever knew. Not only was she such a great teacher, she had a very magnetic personnality that made you want to be around her to abosorb every thing she said.She was such a blessing to others.MHS class of 1961.

There are a few people in your life, outside family, that hold a special place in your heart simply because of the person they are. Although I knew her for very few years such was Mrs. Gossett for me. I have thought of her over the years and was sadden last year when I'd heard she was very ill. I had the privilege to know patsy when i started working at arbor view,she was one of my residents there.i enjoyed talking with this wonderful amazing woman and getting to know her and a little about her life.she was one of my favorites,i would head directly to her room when getting my floor.i will truely miss her.

She will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Gossett was my Geometry teacher over 50 years ago and I will always remember her as a beautiful person with a big heart and a passion for teaching. May perpetual light shine upon her kind soul and may our Lord grant her everlasting life.

Our boys, John and Dale, first got to know Pat when we moved to the Valley. Then Mary Ann knew and loved her. She was a dear friend to me in our clubs and baccalaureate. What a happy, fun person she was and will be missed by oh, so many. God bless you dear, dear friend. We'll miss you - from all the Compton's!!

I have to say that Mrs. Gossett was a beautiful and kind lady. While at Mims Elementary she taught my son, Max, ELP Math. He admired and loved her very much as did all of us who knew her! Our condolences to her family. Thank you for the beauty you brought to light to everyone you met!

With Mrs. Gossett's loving patience, I was lucky enough to have her as my math teacher for 3 years at MHS. She inspired me so much that I eventually became a Math teacher and always thought of her gentile ways when a child just "didn't get" it. I talked with her at our class of 63 reunion in 2003 and told her how much she had meant to me and how much I thought of her everytime my I turned on my overhead projector. What a jewel she was to all of us! I pray blessings to her children and grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.

My condolences to the entire family. I absolutely adored this wonderful, humorous, patient, smart, likeable woman. Mission was a better town because of her. May your memories of her, keep her close to your heart.

The best example of a good and excellent teacher I have ever encountered. Her positve and encouraging attitude lighted up the room each time she started her math class. What a wonderful gift she was to all she taught and met.

The Gossetts were remarkable individuals. They lived each day to the fullest, Never did Pat meet you that she didn't have the most precious smile, and always wanted to know if you were okay. My Freshman ('62-'63) Algebra Teacher did the best she could to teach me the ins & outs of the 'NEW MATH' approach to Algebra. She was a saint of patience for her efforts on this poor math student.

as much as i hated math, i found an appreciation for it and a teacher and friend that i will remember forever-rest in peace and condolences for her family-she will not be forgotten.

If I passed my math courses while in High School it was thanks to Mrs. Gossett who was always so kind, helpful and understanding of those of us who couldnever understand the complexities of algebra, geometry, etc. She always had a smile and a kind word to encourage one to proceed. May she rest in pease in company of all the angels who are learning math. My condolences to all her family.

I moved from Mission to another state in 1963 after my junior year at MHS. Whenever I think of Mission High, Mrs. Gossett is one of the first people I think of. Being from out in the country I was imprressed so much by her calm, regal, ladylike demeanor. She was a wonderful person and great teacher. Wayne was in my class, and I am just so sorry for this great loss, but what a treasure her memory will be to you.

Mrs Gossett taught me Alg and Geometry at MHS. We were in awe at her ability to teach us and keep order. My husband was taught by Mr Gosset in San Benito. I was so happy to see her not many months ago at a funeral at 1st Pres. she always recognized my voice. Mr Gossett was one of my Dad's pallbearers-they both are missed. RIP Mrs Gossett- you were one of a kind !!

Mrs. Gossett was a part of my childhood: She was my Sunday School teacher, my mother's friend, and my brother's 2nd grade teacher in San Benito. She was always smiling and happy. I will always have fond memories of her. She was a very special lady.

I never had her as one of my teachers but admired her . Our sympathy to the passing and to her children.

She was a wonderful teacher and a fabulous person. She will be missed.

Pat was an extraordinary teacher and kind and gentle person with a wonderful sense of humor. I am so blessed to have had her in my life. Peace to her and comfort to her family.

I have known Mr. & Mrs. Gossett for many, many years. She taught with my mother and was a member of our church. Mrs. Gossett taught my Algebra II class. She was a very sweet lady and I enjoyed visiting with her everytime I went home to see my folds. Mrs. Gossett was also my husband's 7th grade math teacher in San Benito. Bob Gossett was his 6th grade teacher. We had many mini reunions when we would go to Mission. We have too many fond memories of the Gossetts to recount. We have lost an outstanding teacher, a great role model and above all a caring lady who did so much for so many. Her grace and humor were remarkable, and I feel she had more vision for her students' futures than most people with perfect eyesight. I will never forget Mrs. Gossett and all she did for me and countless others as well. My deepest sympathy to all her family. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Gossett was my E.L.P. Math teacher from 3rd grade through 6th grade(1985-1989) at Mims Elemantary School. She taught me so much about Math, Astronomy, and compassion. She was the sweetest person I have ever met. I will always hold a place in my heart for her memory. She was the epitome of what it means to be a great teacher. May you rest in peace Mrs. Gossett!
