Patsy Ruth Hunt

Patsy Ruth Hunt CANYON LAKE -- With a very heavy heart, tears in my eyes, I have to say good-bye to Mom, Patsy Ruth Hunt. She was born June 14, 1927 in Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of Ida Alberta Smith and Karl Alexis Markstrom. She graduated from Montebello High School in 1945, and married James Alfred Hunt, Jr. on March 23 1947. They lived in Downey for five years, and raised their family in Bellflower, Calif. Patsy had four children: her sons, Albert Hunt died at birth, and James Alfred Hunt III died at age 23. She is survived by her brother, Don Markstrom; her son, David Hunt; daughter, Darla Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; two grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; her beloved dog, Abby; and all the fantastic neighbors who chased her down when she escaped. Patsy passed on May 10, 2011 to be with her husband, as she never remarried. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, 1:00 pm at Hillside Chapel, Gate #17, Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, Calif.
