Patsy A. Romeo, 70, of Hillsville, died May 1, 2009, at Clare Bridge of Austintown, Ohio.Mr. Romeo was born April 8, 1939, in Hillsville, the son of Guiseppe and Mary Augustino Romeo.He was a graduate of Bessemer High School and Youngstown State University, where he received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for the Bricklayers Local Union No. 8.Mr. Romeo was a member of St. Lawrence Church in Hillsville and the Mahoning Sportsmen's Club.He enjoyed music, playing the keyboard and accordion, photography, wine making, and gardening.He is survived by his sister, Sarah Bova of Lowellville, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Rocco and Marie Romeo of Australia; a niece and her husband, Mary Ann and Salvatore Sanders of North Jackson, Ohio; three nephews, Rocco Bova and his wife, Michelle, of Lowellville, Carmelo Bova Jr. of Lowellville, and Patsy Bova of North Jackson; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas and Ellie Sanders, Daniela Bova and Tristan Bova; and numerous other family members in Australia.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Guiseppe Romeo Jr.; a sister, Philomena Augustino; and a nephew, Joseph Bova.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church.
