Patsy Marie Ennis Wolff, aged 86, passed away on May 23, 2025. She was born on Nov 20,1938 to Charlotte Holland Ennis and Jordan G Ennis in Tullahoma, TN.
Patsy was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was known for her vibrancy, energy, charity, kindness, friendliness, smile, feisty spirit, love of fun and adventure, and her dedication to her churches, her Rotary Club, and many charitable organizations.
Patsy grew up in Tullahoma, TN and Daytona Beach, FL. After graduating from the University of Florida, she moved to Atlanta, GA and worked as a Buyer for the department store Rich's, where she worked for Mr. Dick Rich, the grandson of the store founder. Patsy and her husband Bill met at a party during a snowstorm while living at Colonial Homes Apartments in Atlanta. They moved to Roswell in about 1970.
Patsy loved tennis, Jazzercise, Zumba, yoga, hiking in the mountains-especially in NC-and cheering on her Florida Gators. She volunteered at North Fulton Charities, Bulloch Hall, was a dedicated Brownie & Girl Scout leader and was actively involved in Roswell United Methodist Church and the Roswell Rotary Club.
Patsy and her friend Babs Bibel started The Art of Travel, and planned many trips for Roswell residents over the years. Patsy loved to travel and saw many parts of the world, including traveling to China with one of the initial groups of travel agents in the early 1980's, at a time when only limited foreign tourism was allowed. Patsy also stayed involved in the family business in which she grew up, Coca-Cola Bottling Works of Tullahoma Inc., traveling to TN for regular meetings and attending occasional national conventions around the country.
Patsy and Bill lived on Lake Lanier from 1994 to 2016, and attended Cumming United Methodist Church. They enjoyed spending time in Highlands NC, where they attended the Highlands United Methodist Church. They moved back to Roswell in 2016. Patsy and her husband Bill helped the community of Roswell in many ways, supporting fundraising efforts to build the Roswell Physical Activity Center in 1988. The Roswell Gymnastics program is housed there and serves over 2000 children each week. Patsy was inducted into the Roswell Rotary Club in Sept 1991, becoming the first woman to join and actively participate in the club, and ushering in the era of women's membership in the Roswell Rotary Club. She loved being part of this club. She loved the friends she made and the many opportunities it gave her to share with others. In 2020, Roswell Rotary bestowed its highest honor on Patsy, the Service Above Self Award, for her lifetime of involvement and support for the club. She was a member of the Arch Klumph Society in Rotary. She and her husband Bill supported The Rotary Foundation. Patsy helped launch Honor Air, sponsoring many veterans' trips to Washington, DC to view the Memorials. Patsy supported children and families through numerous charities. She sponsored annual Rotary Club Memorial Day celebrations, annual Rotary Golf and Tennis Tournaments, and was raised skyward in a fire engine bucket at one such golf event. In 2025 Patsy was honored by her fellow Rotary members with the launch of the Patsy Wolff Scholarship for a selected Roswell area high school female graduate.
Through the "Patsy & Bill Wolff Life Improvement Scholarship" of the Wellstar Foundation, up to 5 scholarships per year are given to selected Wellstar employees to further their education. In 2024, Wellstar chose to honor Patsy by naming the chapel at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital the "Patsy E Wolff Chapel." Patsy sponsored the planting of the Memorial Garden at the First United Methodist Church of Tullahoma, TN in 2007.
Patsy will be deeply missed by her husband Bill Wolff, daughter Shannon Wolff Everly and her husband Mike Everly and their children Mitchell Everly and Kate Everly, and son Glenn Wolff and his wife Katrina Wolff and their children Brielle Wolff and Joshua Wolff, and by extended family members and many longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Steve Ennis.
A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11AM, followed by visitation until 2PM, at Roswell United Methodist Church in the Chapel, to celebrate Patsy's life.
