Pattie read our book "A Bit of Applause for Mrs.Claus", at the Bel Aire Woman's Christmas party in 2004. She was the perfect character we envisioned to have portrayed our fun Mrs.Claus character!
It is the 25th year of publication by Sourcebook and we finally have gotten our rights back to the book.
Timing is everything and we so regret Patti has not been here to again bring some laughter for the holiday season.

To the Ross family:
I have just learned about your loss and was saddened by it.
I never at the pleasure of meeting her but would have truly like to have done so.
My acquaintance Johnny Olson, the announcer on Match Game, told me she was just as great off stage as on the air. Her personality shine brightly and you could see why everyone loved her.
I can tell you with the reruns that are shown of all the shows she appeared on that she still brings Joy to millions of people everyday.
My deepest sympathies go out to you.

We wondered about both of you these days and looked you up a few minutes ago to sadly read the news of Patti's passing just a short while ago.
May your memories be a blessing and thank you Patti for being a bright light to your many fans.
Peace to you all....❤2 fans from Minnesota

Sometimes when I am watching reruns of game shows (Match Game and Tattletales, etc) on GSN and BUZZR, I wonder what happened to some of the stars on the shows. This night as I was watching Tattletales, there was Donald Ross and Patti Deutsch and wondered if their marriage lasted and whether they were still with us. I was sad to learn that Patti left this earth so recently, but was so happy to learn that she and Donald were still together and had a wonderful family. She seemed to be a wonderful person and reading about her life reaffirmed my assessment of someone I never knew -- only through a screen. Plus was elated to learn she attended UT Austin (maybe we were there at the same time). Condolences to the Ross family, but remember -- Don't cry because she is gone. Smile because she was here. RIP Patti Deutsch Ross -- Keep 'em smiling in Heaven!

We were in Africa when Patti our beloved cousin died and did send a condolence however, apparently it never was delivered. Suffice to say, she was a beloved member of our family. She shared a birthday with my father, of blessed memory, and we celebrated them annually during our annual family Chanukah Brunch(s) with much love and Donald's infamous chopped liver and Max and family when they were in town. Donald is my (Lynda's) first cousin and my father's favorite nephew for whom he made pancakes every week with Patti's blessing. Patti was one funny lady, always a quick retort to any comment made that always brought a laugh. She had THE most unique handbags from a chicken to a milk carton which I once had given her. You will live in our hearts and memories forever and will keep Donald safe from harm and close. We love you, always Cuz Lynda and Stan

To the Ross family: I never met or knew Patti. But as an avid viewer of "The Match Game" for many years during its run & reruns on The Game Show Network, I think we all got a sample of her personality, wit and sense of humor. To say that she was unique would be an understatement. Between her trademark deadpan stare into the camera when her name was announced by the late Johnny Olson to her quirky answers, she truly was and is memorable. Her love for her husband and her children also came across on "Match Game" and "Tattle Tales". And I would be remiss if I did not mention her all-too-brief appearance in "Mr. Mom" in what I consider to be a classic scene where she rattles off several names of hams and cheeses to Michael Keaton.
When I heard about Patti's death on The Game Show Network a few days ago, it made me very sad. My thoughts and condolences go out to her family especially her husband and her children. When I was a kid and I would be home sick from school or even later in life when I would be sick from work, I could always rely on "Match Game" to help cheer me up and people like Patti to make me smile and laugh again. And God knows, we need more smiles and laughs in this world. Patti, thank you for all the smiles and laughs and for being you.
