Patti Morgan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 18, 2024.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 7, 2024, Patti Karen Morgan broke free of the bonds of this mortal body and passed into the presence of our waiting Lord Jesus. She is no longer suffering from the ravages of a rare and aggressive cancer that she fought so valiantly this past year. She spent her last year surrounded and cared for by her loving family and with her cherished pup, Schatzi.

Patti's charm and beautiful smile won her friends of all ages. While volunteering at an assisted living facility, she befriended a WW 2 veteran, and their friendship was a light in both of their lives. She had a special connection with the senior population and built meaningful relationships with many in her church. But she was also loved dearly by her nieces and nephews, who always considered her the "fun" aunt. She valued her friendships, and had many true friends that she stayed connected to over the course of her life.

Patti, also known as PK, was born on September 15,1963, the baby of a large brood, and was treated accordingly. She was pre-deceased by her father Tom Morgan, mother Selma (Lorain) Morgan and brother Roy E. Melton. She leaves a brother Tom E. Morgan, 3 sisters; Debbie Morgan, Diana Braddock and husband Roger Braddock, and Kathy Currie and husband Joe Currie to grieve her too early departure from them. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her, particularly Kathryn and Joe Morgan Currie who helped greatly with her comfort and care this past year.

Patti loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. She wrote many songs of praise. She also enjoyed the ocean, jazz concerts and art shows, and she was a real clotheshorse. But she was a savvy shopper and took pride in her bargains!

She had quite a green thumb and grew beautiful flowers in her yard-which is no small feat in Texas! Patti endured more than her share of hardships, but she held tight to her faith and trusted God to walk with her through her valleys - and He did. She will be laid to rest with a private memorial at the family farm in the boothill of Missouri where she lived as a child. She was loved greatly and will be greatly missed.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness

I always had a special place in my heart for Patti. She was a wonderful person, someone whom with just a smile could let you know what kind of person she was. I never really got to have a deep relationship with Patti. But, I knew we could be close friends if given the chance. I did enjoy texting back and forth when we had the chance. I do thank The Lord I knew her as well as I did.

I always loved Patty as a beautiful tender loving woman who was always pleasant to be around because I knew she was Godly. There is no other pleasant person to be around than a Godly person. She was a wonderful lovely pleasant person. There is no other way to put it. I loved her with my whole heart. Even to talk to her on text I knew what kind of person she was. Good bye for now Patty.

Patti and I met and became friends in high school. We had several classes together where she proved to be a kind and very intelligent person. My heart aches for her family, friends, and former classmates. My prayers will be for us all as God comforts us through this brutal loss. Enjoy yourself in heaven, Patti. We´ll see you again for sure.

Patti and I had homeroom together all through high school. She was the sweetest person. Rest in peace my friend. I know once you took your last breath here on earth you were in the presence of our Father the next.

My condolences to her family. I´m so sad to hear of her passing. We were friends from church in Florida. Even when she moved to Texas she kept in touch with me. Patti will be missed. See you on the other side sweet friend.

My dear sister- it was always the two of us - Kathy/Patti or Patti/Kathy. We answered to both. Thank you for lavishing your love on my children. You were a good aunt and a wonderful sister. Oh the memories. Enjoy your rest in Jesus until I see you again. Love, Kaffy Lorain.

Patti always hugged me at church. She was genuine and loving. I am sorry that I didn't know she was sick. I am however happy that she is no longer hurting. Sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family. Cindy Hanna
