Paul Abernathy

Paul was a great friend and coworker. I have many memories of us playing lottery and just laughing. I was very sad to learn of his passing. Sleep in Peace my friend

I was saddened to hear of Paul's passing. I was a classmate of Paul's at Presbyterian College. My favorite memory of Paul is when he escorted me to a senior prom. I was student teaching in our senior year, and I was a chaperone for the senior prom. I just showed this picture to my high school daughter last week! My whisper from heaven from Paul I guess. Paul was a wonderful friend. I have many fond memories of our times in the theater. I reached out to Paul a few years back as my father is also an active ballroom dancer. I was so glad to hear he had found a passion. My prayers are for you all.

I knew Paul for about 5 years as a singer with the Charlotte Choral Society (Singing Christmas Tree). He was always there to help and ad to the program.

Paul was great co-worker and an even better friend. We worked together in the Hornets' front office and he was always kind and giving of this time and resources. He will be tremendously missed. May The Lord comfort the entire Abernathy family in this hour.

Paul was a one of a kind individual. As an original "Hornet" we all celebrated the high's and the low's. I will always remember how he could make me laugh. May he be held gently in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I can't begin to count the great times Paul and I had in Scouts. (Go Python Patrol!) Always there to lend a hand, he was a hard worker with a smile and a positive attitude. A great voice in church choir, too. One of these days, Paul, we'll pick up where we left off telling jokes around the campfire.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know you will find comfort in John 6 : 40.
