Bart was an awesome guy and special to all of the school kitchens he subbed in. He saved the day on many, many occasions! Everywhere he went, he made people smile! He was a special, happy spirit and he made everyone around him feel special, too. I will miss him!

Bart and I were connected through business He was a favorite.. We spent time together with Liz and Bart and shared many dinners . We lived not far from their mountain cabin. Whenever they came to the mountains
we always made plans to be with them. He was a great friend and our hearts and prayers go out to Liz and his family. He will truly be missed by all.

Bart and Liz were friends with my parents (Reid &Margie Hopkins). I was in college and away from home but the times I was able to be around Bart and Liz were a pleasure. He had a sharp wit and a lovely sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with Liz and their family. God bless you.

Bart was a great friend. He was also a truly gifted athlete. I had the good fortune to be a teammate at Madison HS. Even after long lapses, when we did catch up, it was like we had just seen each other the day before. My favorite memories include his laugh and watching him glide in the air doing a reverse two handed dunk. My heart is with Liz, Brooke, Stephanie and his extended family.

I have so many wonderful memories of Bart Engler growing up in mountain creek. He was such a kind and warm man. He always greeted me with a happy hello and hug .One of my favorite memories is being at the Engler house with Stephanie , running up the stairs and hearing Mr Engler yell from his office , "the Mo-lis-o", his nickname for me. I was so heartbroken to hear of his passing . I am praying for Liz, Brooke, and Stephanie during this difficult time . May you find peace in the memories of your amazing husband and father.
With love ,

Bart and I would "steal away" into what we called odysseys of North Georgia and beyond. These excursions were filled with so much laughter that often could hurt the stomachs so much that we had to seek out great meals (and beverage) of hard to find ketchins. Although many of these places were unique and rare, it really didn't matter for the joy was simply the trip as good buddies.
