Paul Beasley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 22 to Feb. 24, 2024.
Austin - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Dean Beasley on February 11, 2024.

Paul was born March 18, 1969 in Lubbock, Texas to Jere Dean and Frances Colleen Beasley. He grew up in Odessa, Texas where he attended Permian High School graduating in 1987. He moved to Austin attended the University of Texas.

Paul managed several different bars and restaurants including Shakespeare's and Sherlocks, where he excelled in his position and cultivated many of his best relationships through life. He later pursued a career in information technology and enjoyed the work he did and the responsibility that came with it.

He had many dear friends who were like family to him. He had a sense of adventure, was not afraid to take chances, and was an avid skydiver. At the time of his death, he was pursuing his passion of being a skydiving instructor.

In keeping with his wishes, his friends and peers alike will pay tribute to Paul with an Ash Dive, where his ashes will be scattered on one last plunge to the earth.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Jere Dean Beasley and mother Frances Colleen Beasley. He is survived by sister Barbara Caudill (Robert), and his nieces/nephews: Mikhail, Marissa, and Matthew.

Paul was an incredible man. So outgoing and giving with his time & knowledge. We met skydiving. He was much more knowledgeable but that didn't stop him from jumping with us. In fact, he took us under his wing and mentored us. He was always available for a jump, a question, a story or beer afterwards. He had a heart of gold and will be truly missed.

One of my best friends for the past 3 years has flown off. You were there for me through the hardest and best times. We shared the same philosophies, music, laughters, dreams, and adventures. I was genuinely looking forward to you moving closer so we could scuba and sky dive together. Fly high and dive deep my dearest friend. You will be missed.

Paul and I went to high school together. We met at Steak and Ale. We were the prep guys on Saturdays and had so much fun.
We had some great times outside of work as well.
