dear Polly, Amy Spollett called me today to tell me of Paul's transition, she has no way of contacting you, so please accept heartfelt sympathy from both of us. You and Paul were such special people for so many of us in Melrose in the early 50s. how excited we were to attend your wedding on a hot, humid June day. I felt so fortunate to meet up with you at MAUCC annual meetings and to get your annual Christmas letter.
Love and light to you and your dear family, Astrid (Erickson) Oosterman

Mrs. Burditt, Scott and Laurel,
I just learned of Rev. Burditt's passing. I am saddened by it. I have such fond memories of growing up in Pride's Corner Church. When I think of Rev. Burditt, I see him with his eyes closed, his head tipped back and savoring the music of the choir. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Your sister in Christ,

Dear Pauline & Family, Please accept my deepest condolences on Paul's passing. He was a wonderful counselor and friend to me during some difficult times in my life. I still remember him telling me to take time for "respite", as it provides stength gathering for down the road! My continued involvement in Hospice is a direct result of your interest and work in this area. Paul will always be a brilliant, confident and strong figure in my life. I am saddened that his final years must have been so difficult for all of you. May he rest in peace and you live your lives comforted in your care and love for him.
Sincerely, Debbie Barac

Dear Pauline, Scott, Laurel and families... Very sorry to hear of your loss. It's hard to imagine Paul with Alzheimer's; he was SUCH a sharp man as I remember him. Pauline, is it possible that you are married 55 years?? Good Lord... Where does the time go?? Scott and Laurel, believe it or not, you cross my mind more than you would imagine. Again, my deepest sympathy. John
