CALLAHAN
PAUL JOHN, Sr.
Age 87, formerly of Upper St. Clair, PA passed away peacefully on January 13, 2017, at the Greenwood Village South Senior Living Community just south of Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Forest Hills, NY to the late G. Arthur and Agnes Callahan on November 5, 1929. He was the beloved husband to the late Anne C. Callahan. Paul is survived by his cherished sister, Agnes Titus; his children, Ellen Callahan, Paul (Karen) Callahan, Anne (John) Dailey, Thomas (Ellen) Callahan, and Jean (Ted) Hinsman; and adoring grandchildren, Katie, Tommy, Sean, Luke, Julie, Meghan, Brendan, Kevin, Jack, Annie and Molly; and many other relatives and friends. Paul also was preceded in death by his six siblings. Paul was devoted to his family, his friends, and his Catholic faith. Paul was always a well-dressed man sporting his favorite ball cap. He enjoyed playing tennis, vacationing in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, organizing the annual Men's Retreat at his church, and telling stories with a sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at CREMATION AND FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church, 320 McMurray Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241, followed by burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, PA.
