All my love to you, Grandpaul. We miss you dearly, but I feel that you're here in every funny remark, every sly smile in my family. I can see your face reflected back in every person I meet who is challenged by the world, and maintains exactly who they are in spite of that fact. Thank you for the eyebrows and the strange sense of humor, and for my Mama.

I think of you often. Twice I dreamed that you walked by me and smiled. You were healthy and happy in my dream. May it be so!

Paul was a great and wonderful influence on the newcomers at the Creek. I know because I was one in 1994. Then he moved to the Island and I was happily going to meetings there also., he will be sorely missed.

He always attended the meetings and he always offered his guidance to the newcomers.
He was very intelligent, witty and was know to add some funny sarcasm in and out of our meetings.
Paul was fun to be around.
Here´s to seeing you on the other side.

Tremendous help to me getting sober. He gave his experience and guidance daily for my first year. He knew the books inside out,and practiced the principles. He was thoughtful, kind, argumentative, sarcastic, dedicated.

Paul had one of the weirdest senses of humor and was unintentionally (or maybe it was intentional?) funny. When hearing him speak, the message was there. It was sometimes buried under a looooot of detail, but it was definitely there. The details were the fun part though and they had me in tears laughing sometimes.

Paul was a good guy and I'll miss him for sure. Thanks for being there early on for me.

The first time we met, on the porch. It was his calm demeanor & his humor of saying exactly what he thought! RIParadise, Paul. Your illness was way too confining for you

I am sorry to hear that Paul passed. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Galveston. He was a nice guy, although certainly unconventional at times!
He spoke fondly of his daughter all the time. I have a bunch of kids, so we talked about kids often. Paul came to my house a few times and met most of my kids. They thought he was pretty funny because they would ask after him.
He was a good guy. He will be missed!

I invited Paul to hear me speak at an event. We had only recently met. He came. After the event, he hugged me for a long time and said, "You have a lot of mess in your past, just like me."

Paul was probably the first friend I made in Galveston. He made some sarcastic remark about something I had said. I thought he was pretty funny. Then, he invited me to walk my dogs on the beach with him and his dog, Daisy #1.
