Cecelia Honey Obituary
Cecelia M. "Polly" Honey, 87, of Easton, PA passed away peacefully with her family at side on March 29, 2023 at St. Luke's, Anderson Campus.
Born July 20, 1935, in Pohatcong Township, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry V. Lance and Bessie C. Morgan Lance.
Mrs. Honey was employed by the Phillipsburg School District and was on the custodial staff at the high school for 25 years. She was member of the Warren County Retired Teachers Association, the NJEA, Warren Hospital Auxillary, the Wilson Borough Republican Club, the West Easton Fire Company Auxillary, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wilson Borough, and was a lifetime member of the Stewartsville Lutheran Church. She also served as the secretary for the Firthtown Boys Club for 15 plus years.
Survivors are her children; Beverly Honey, Ernest Honey, Larry Honey, Norman Honey and wife Lisa, and Lisa Breidinger and husband Jeffrey. Her grandchildren are; Joseph Gruzinski, Tiffany Piergrossi, Michael & Chelsea Honey, Lance & Kyleigh Honey, and Jesse, Jamie, & Jeffrey Breidinger. Additionally, she is survived by 9 great grandchildren, and a sister, Bessie Sinclair. In addition to her parents, Cecelia was also predeceased by a brother, Harry Lance Jr., and sisters; Bertha Lauber, Rose Thorpe, Rhoda Hall, and Lillian Proctor.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 5-8 pm at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 11:00 am. The interment will be at Fairmount in Phillipsburg. Visit www.fineganfh.com.
