Paul Francis Dumas

Fort Lauderdale - Paul Francis Dumas, 70, passed away surrounded by his family on November 1, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Born on June 9, 1954, he spent his formative years in Worcester, MA where he graduated from South High School before furthering his education at Johnson & Whales University.

Paul dedicated many years to the Worcester Public Schools as a custodian and also worked alongside his son, Daniel, doing Production Catering for Don Law Catering. His passions included cooking, going to the beach, taking cruises, gardening, but nothing compared to the joy he found in spending time with his grandchildren.

He leaves behind his husband, Herbert P. Jung of Fort Lauderdale, FL. His children, Robert Dumas and his wife Michelle, of Holden; Paula Guntor and her husband Nicholas, of Leicester, MA. Paul is survived by his five siblings, Sharon Gibbons and her companion Mark Lambert, Jack and Paula Dumas, Nancy and Michael Blanchard, all of Worcester, MA, Francis and Viviane Dumas of Webster, and David and Susan Dumas of Nashville, TN. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews and a loving grandfather to Avery, Christopher, Josephine, Grace and Aidan.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Francis E. Dumas, his mother, Jean "Boltruczyk" Dumas, his former wife, Barbara Hannen Dumas, and his son, Daniel Dumas.

Paul will be remembered as a caring and dedicated individual, deeply loved by his family and friends. His warmth and culinary skills brought joy to many, creating lasting memories for all who knew him.

A Mass to honor his passing will be held at Our Lady Of The Angels Church, Worcester, MA at 4pm on Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
