Dear Bill, Mike and entire family,

Just read of the loss of your dad in the Kalamazoo Gazette. My dad, Jim Plating, and your father were best friends. I can remember coming to Saginaw after you moved there and ice skating in your back yard. My father passed away about 14 years ago. My mother, Violet Plating, is still living in Kalamazoo. My husband and I are living in the house on Crooked Lake.

So sorry to to hear that your dad has died. I did not know until last night when Rene' saw it on the TV obits. I regret not seeling Paul the last few years, he was such great guy to be around. Our condolences to you guys in this sad time.

I was saddened to read of Paul's passing in the Saginaw News. Paul was my manager at John Hancock in the seventies. He was a wonderful man and yes, he did have a great sense of humor. I can still hear his voice telling another hilarious joke before a sales meeting.
After I left Hancock, I was fortunate enough to see him out and about on occasion. It was always a pleasure to see him. I will always remember him for the kind person he was.
To his family, please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Your family and Paul will be in my prayers.
