Paul Geis

I ran with Paul at Oregon. I knew him to be a tough, extremely competitive man who loved unsettling people and established norms. He also had the talent to do it. He didn't deconstruct the Pre-myth but he sure as hell challenged it. That took serious guts.

Go with God Paul. You are his forever more. I hope to see you again.

As a teammate and friend, I enjoyed what time I got to spend with and talking to on social media Paul. I had just talked to him 2 days before his passing and was shocked to open my facebook account and see he had left us. Will always have our memories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends

Paul Geis' death at age 66 reminds me to seize every day as a gift. Paul was my teammate, friend, counselor, financial advisor and confidante. I knew his whole family for over 50 years, yet I find myself wanting more time with my friend.

Paul, I will miss you and your corny jokes, your youthful enthusiasm, and your endless optimism. Rest well in eternal peace with Duane, Lois and Greg.

You are in a good place my friend. We had our moments on the track but made up for it as friends afterwards. You lived a full and adventurous life! Hats off to you!

I just saw Paul three years ago at the 45th SJS reunion. Looked great. Sorry to hear about his untimely death. We will miss seeing him.

A great runner for the Oregon Ducks. I'm sad he died too young. He had a good life.
