I've started re-watching a lot of Paul's videos again and realised how good a communicator and person he was, all over again. More Paul Harrel's means better world - can't be clearer than that.
I'm from the UK and haven't held or seen a firearm but the world that Paul inhabited interested me - American wild, hunting, camping, self-sufficiency - he was exemplary. It was real-world stuff - not make-believe nonsense.
I wished he had shared a bit more of his feelings or philosophies towards the end but I understand, his friends and family knew all that and that's all that matters.
I haven't watched a 'gun channel' since, just not interested.

All the best Paul, you were the best.

I watched many of Paul's reviews, as far as I can remember, he was on of the first to use Meat targets, the world lost a great man, a great teacher and a Great American Veteran. Rest in Peace Paul, God loves you. Semper Fi.

I am an Air Force and Army veteran. Paul excelled at communicating, and embuing his thoughts, his knowledge, and his life experience 's regarding firearms and the litany of his opinions, and origins of greatness. Paul's criteria and knowledge of what the gun world promotes empirical evidence, was beyond subject matter expert research. Paul is an icon. His experience, working knowledge, and his intuitive concepts, was legendary. To have had the opportunity to meet him would have been a life altering day for me. I feel having knowing him vicariously, through his podcast, is priceless. Rest In Peace Paul. I'm so sorry we never had the chance to meet. Thank you for your service to America.

I came across Paul's channel when I first got into shooting about 5 years ago, he immediately stood out for not being in the least bit opinionated and was so much more humble than any self professed gun expert. His fun, dry mix of education and anecdotes has made the world of shooting so much more enjoyable and it broke my heart to hear of his passing. Rest in peace Paul, a true individual and a hell of a nice guy. You'll be missed always.

I remember during the thick of the pandemic in 2020, I was researching home-defense shotguns/loads, and was introduced to Paul at this time. He showed me how a 20 gauge will absolutely get the job done, when most men believe you need double 0 buck 12. Feels like Paul in a nutshell right there. God bless his family right now, and all the way into heaven.

Two thoughts come to mind regarding Paul Harrell, respect and integrity. Paul commanded respect, he didn't need to demand it. His integrity was apparent, when Paul spoke you knew he was speaking the truth as he knew it. To say that Paul Harrell will be missed is a massive understatement. The strange part is Paul was humble, and somewhat uncomfortable receiving praise, even when it was absolutely deserved. Paul Harrell left a void that can't be filled.

Paul was the greatest firearms instructor that I have ever encountered. I have spent nearly two decades in military and/or law enforcement, and Paul has taught me more about ballistics and tactics than any other instructor I have met throughout my career. His dry humor, elegant vocabulary, and stories rooted in personal experience all resonated with me perfectly. I hope that we can someday shoot some targets together up there in heaven. Until that day, I will deeply miss you Paul.
