I never met Paul. I grew up with Susie Maguire, and the large vivacious Maguire family who will always live deeply in my heart. I too lost my precious child this year, and know well of some of what Susan and Joe are experiencing...and just this morning was reflecting on how my child's legacy will live on in EVERY PERSON THEY TOUCHED, BOTH DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY. This, I believe, is a universal truth. That those who pass to the other side, continue to live in each one of us. It is what we choose to do with that part of them within us that allows their innate flower to manifest as fruit on this Earth. I expect to continue to watch and listen and feel how Paul's legacy works its way into my consciousness and my actions here on Earth. Right now, the form is not yet clear. I wonder what form it is taking in those who were closer to Paul and were directly touched by his essence. Much love to all who keep Paul's light shining through them, especially Susie!!

I have been thinking about Paul's Family and loved ones today-- as I have many times since his death. You don't know me, but we share a common friend who told me about Paul. I, too, lost a child as you have lost Paul, and even now, two and a half years later, the sorrow brings me to my knees at times. You have surely experienced the care and sympathy of so many, but unless they have been in your shoes, they just can't possibly know the depths of your grief. If possible, I would really encourage you to consider reaching out to find someone who knows first-hand what you are going through.

I wish I could offer to be that person for you, but I think my own wounds need to heal more completely before I could support another. I did have an angel who reached out to me after my daughter died, and in many ways, this angel has encouraged and inspired me to keep living.

I am holding you all close in my thoughts and prayers; may you help and support one another in the days ahead.

I can not believe he left us so soon. He was a great kid who had his own perspective on life. Always reminded me that having fun and being a little silly was all part of the experience. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to know him.
