Howe Family - I will miss Bud...a lot. He helped me learn a lot about business and about how to do the right thing. He always did the right thing. He was a steady hand, even when the seas were rough. Thank you for letting me be a part of his amazing life!

Our family was saddened to hear of Bud's passing. I was privileged to work for Bud at Carver Lumber Co. from 1979-1985. His door was always open and he was willing to selflessly share his knowledge and life experiences in an effort to be helpful. He was a dedicated executive, humble, and a very patient listener. His comments and advice were always imparted in a kind and respectful manner, causing people to be genuinely unafraid to ask for it. The amount of respect and affection that he garnered from employees, suppliers, the community at large, and especially Carver's many loyal customers, was probably the deepest reflection of a lifetime of work dedicated to serving others. I would like to take this one last opportunity to thank Bud for all he did for me during our time working together. For my part he will always be remembered as someone I was proud to know...a Gentle Giant... truly a Class Act.
Our Sincerest Sympathies to the family.
