Just seeing that Dr. Koenig passed almost 9 years ago. I had Dr Koenig at LSU as a freshman back in 1982 & 1983. He was a great teacher. I'll never forget sleeping in for a test, and I made it to class about when folks were finishing their tests. He let me take the exam outside his office. He and a few other great Professors are the reason I love and cherish my days at LSU as a kid. I loved chemistry as well. My prayers for his family.

My condolences to the blessed family and loved ones of Dr. Paul Koenig. I first met him as a young employee of the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge Printing Department. I was awed by the publications of "Ephatha" I re-typed in preparation for the printing press. The Holy Spirit touched me through those articles of faith alive and working! I was blessed to have known Dr. Koenig as a true man of God and look forward to worshipping our Savior for all eternity with all His saints. God bless and keep you through the Love of Jesus Christ, His Son, and our Savior.

I had Paul Koenig for a professor in Organic Chemistry. He explained the subject so well and I really enjoyed his teaching and the class.

David and I were fortunate enough to have been in St. Aloysius and LSU back in the early 70's. He was one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet at LSU. We were saddened to hear of his passing. Please accept our condolences for your great loss.

I so loved working with Dr. Koenig at Runnels School. Would love having a chat with him at lunch time.

My deepest sympathy to you all. Dr. Koenig was such a loving, caring person, and shared much wisdom with my children and me during our time with him at Runnels. We all think of him very fondly and remember good times, including my oldest son picking blueberries for him at "the farm".

Dr. Paul saved me from flunking out my 3rd attempt with organic chemistry and enabled me to get my Bachelor of Science in my chosen field while at LSU during the 70's. Because of Dr. Koenig's teachings, I was the only one in a massive class that did not need to take the final exam because of my straight "A" marks. I achieved such because Dr. Koenig made it interesting. He allowed me to stand before the class and say "If I can do it, you can do it." To this day I reflect on that experience and encourage young people when they faulter. To the Koenig family I say thank you. Your Paul made a real difference in my life.
After reading Dr. Koenig's obituary, I am amazed how close our pathes have merged. Yet I've not seen him since class. My loss. My prayers are with Paul, his family and friends, Mike Buchart
