Paul Krahl Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the Sterling Inn Assisted Living Community in Victorville, California. A former longtime resident of Apple Valley, Paul was known for his dedication to family, craftsmanship, and spirited personality.
Born on March 30, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paul was the son of Jimmie I. Krahl and Paul Duval Krahl. He married the love of his life, Joanne P. Krahl, on December 8, 1956, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and devotion to their children and grandchildren.
Paul served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War Conflict. After his military service, he worked as a superintendent in the homebuilding industry across Los Angeles and Orange County before joining his brothers in Oklahoma to continue building homes. Eventually, Paul founded Krahl Painting and Decorating, a successful business that operated from the 1970s through the early 2000s in the Victor Valley.
Paul was a devoted grandfather who cherished spending time with his grandchildren, enjoyed watching sports, gambling at local horse tracks and casinos, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joanne Krahl; his son Paul Krahl III; daughter Valerie Krahl- Armington; his parents; sisters Norma Gay, Mary Riker, and Doris Krahl; and brother Don Krahl.
In honor of Paul's life, the family kindly requests any memorial contributions be made to Orenda Veterans Project in Apple Valley, California, in lieu of flowers. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date to accommodate family members traveling from afar. Online condolences may be shared with the family at [email protected].

Sending all my love to you PD! This family was my family, they loved me like their own. I will forever be thankful for Paul and Joann. My heart is saddened today, but the memories I have will live in my heart always and bring me much laughter, love and joy. Love and prayers to you all
