I just now saw the news of Paul's passing in the California Review. Paul and I spent time together in the Air National Guard. I have many great memories of our time in parachute school, softball games, and just hanging out during deployments. My sympathy to Donna and the entire family.

To Donna and all the Madaras family:

Please know how much I feel for each of you in this time of your sorrow. Paul was my younger cousin and I have happy memories of when we were kids growing up in Wall and West Mifflin, along with all the other cousins!

You have my deepest sympathy and I will keep you in my prayers.

Yours in Christian love,

Donna, Our hearts break for you. We know you and Paul were "best friends." We are going to miss the two of you stopping in our office together: Paul with a story, and you wanting candy. We are here for you. Let us know how we can help. We will keep the candy bowl full for you. Paul will be terribly missed! God bless you!

So sorry for your loss Donna. Paul put up a brave battle and endured because you were by his side. The world is a different place without him. My deepest sympathy.

Paul, We played many softball games together, and went to many Air National Guard Tournaments together. NONE of those would have been the same without you there... Donna - God just picked up one great softball player for his team!!!

To Paul's family - I knew him from the PA ANG 171st ARW when he was our Command Chief. He did an outstanding job as enlisted advisor, especially with our younger part time members. My condolences to his family. He served our country very well.

Dear Donna:
My sincere sympathies to you. You are a loving, devoted and wonderful caring wife to an extraordinary leader, teacher and veteran. My dear late mother loved his buttermilk and fish sandwich luncheons at their weekly meeting as they both handled the gifted program at Churchill Area High School now Woodland Hills. Cherish the memories that will live on into eternity.
All my thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry for your loss Donna and family. I will remember all the laughs he brought to our lives at Shaffer School. He always had a joke up his sleeve and a positive attitude. He made my first few years teaching less stressful through his support. Find peace in all of the special memories..
