It's been ten years since you moved on to heaven's kitchen bar. We still think of you lovingly and celebrate you each time we drink from your 65th birthday party cup. I know you have gathered the people from our NOLA crew that have gone before us... please raise a glass to those of us down here as you toast with Paula, Dick, Lorraine and too many others gone too soon. You were a great man.

Paul was my teacher, brother, father, friend all in one wonderful man. I would not have survived the tragedies of my life if not for him. The "Old Man" as I so lovingly called him was always there for me....we enjoyed many times together, always with a cocktail of course and how blessed am I to have had him almost all my life. I know you are at peace with Our Lord and look forward to the day we meet again. You will missed greatly and I will love you always.

I just heard about Paul's passing today because I was hospitalized when he passed. I do have sympathy for his family. I knew Paul professionally. I liked him the minute I met him and always admired him professionally. At his core, he was a good man with a good heart who endeavored to do good things. Even though I only met him a few times and worked with briefly, I always thought of him fondly and felt that it was my privilege and honor to have known him. In other words, he blessed my life by simply being himself. I have no doubt that he blessed the lives of many others and that his spirit of generosity and goodwill will reverberate for many generations to come.

We shared many good hangovers in high school and college! Since he was 2 years older than me, I would use his draft card as ID. I was his alter ego for two years! He lived a full fruitful life.

Just as your praises go today, everyone should know that you were the same sweet, loving, gentle and kind soul, as a child.
I wish we'd kept closer touch over the years. Nevertheless I shall remember you fondly. One of your many cousins.

Paul
You were a dear man to so many. You loved New Orleans and made sure that any newcomers to the city fell it love with it too. You made everyone feel welcome and made sure everyone had a good time. You introduced me to Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, St. Joseph's Day, the Napoleon House, how to have fun with no money and so many other great memories. You always wore a smile and never a negative word to say about anyone. You made a huge impact on my life and I think of you often. So sorry to have not caught up with you until recently. I'm sure you're mixing the cocktails in heaven -- ensuring a good time for all. Blessings to you.

As I remember Paul Mancuso, the scripture that comes to mind is Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion to the day of Christ Jesus" Paul was formative in many lives and a blessing to all. He completed the calling God gave to him with dedication and grace.

When I think back to my 4 years at LHS, Mr. Man's face always comes to mind. He was our teacher, our counselor, our mentor, our friend....I still picture him walking the halls of LHS, wagging his finger at someone & putting his hands on hips - but all done with that infectious smile on his face! We love you and will miss you, Mr. Man - but we keep your memories alive in our hearts until we meet again! Cheers!

It's been close to 40 years since I left Lutheran High School and last saw Mr. Man. However I will never forget how he helped me during a difficult time in my life. He was always open to a talk either in person or on the phone. He truly loved all God's children and I suspect all who came in contact with him loved him back. You truly made a difference in my life and thousands of others. God Bless you.
As I said, he loved a good time!

Few people can say they touched as many hearts as this man did. He was a beloved teacher, he was a wise "old man" as he called himself, he was a foodie and a lover of cocktails, he was an hilarious joke teller, he included all and turned no one away, he served the Lord, he opened his house to all weary Mardi Gras travelers, he always smelled good, he taught many to cook, he LOVED a good time, and he was more than our friend - he was our FAMILY. Thank you, Paul, for all the hospitality and love you showed us over the last 40+ years. We love you. The Lass Krewe... Ken, Lola, Kenny, Andy, Katie and Sara

He has been one of my favorite individuals. The most memorable moment as a student was the only time he fussed at me. While the class was reading McBeth he would walk up and down the aisles. Of course his hand lovingly tapped your shoulder as he passed you. This day not so much. As he walked past my slouchy self, foot extended, he tripped and went flying. Bad news. I didnt think he ever fussed, this was a first. Ouch! What I hear ringing loudly still is "Kelly you are such a talented young lady you will accomplish so much if you build your confidence, and pay attention!".
Paul, you never judged the clumsiness of others, contrarily, u were an AMAZING craftsman, with your mining tools always in tow, chiseling endless "diamonds in the ruff" within everyone who needed that.
The most precious and personal gift to me was [along side Sara, Marilyn, and Joyce] taught me how to love my mother at a self centered time that I was not very fond of her. He led me to see how valuable, generous, supportive, and loyal she was and is...just a little misunderstood and thats when I learned what grace was. PAUL, I LOVE YOU FOR LEADING TO HONOR&RESPECT MY MOM! Thank you for cracking me up soooo much, and for loving my family and everyone unconditionally!!
