Wayne Cunningham
I met Paul in school many years ago. He was a great athlete and a better person. He was one of my coaches while I was president of Westfield Youth Hockey in the 90's. He did a great job with the kids. Always willing to help. I just found out about his passing and I am so sorry. This was a really good guy. He will be missed by many.

My condolences to the family and friends of Paul. I just found out about Paul's passing, I was in Canada and did not hear about it until I saw the tribute which is beautiful and fitting. I became friends with Paul in the mid 80s ,road bikes with him and played softball for the nook together. We became good friends and I will always be honored he considered me his friend. Paul will be sadly missed.

Paul and I met in the 7th grade and immediately became good friends. We shared many great memories throughout junior and senior high school with sports; football and hockey as well as our mutual love for music and even talked about wanting to go to Woodstock. We were able to reconnect a few years ago and re-live some of those fond memories. You'll be missed old friend.

I met Paul in Sept. of 1957 8n kindergarten at Abner Gibbs. We were lifelong friends, even though our paths drifted apart. Invariably they crossed again at some point in time. Paul was fiercely loyal, and was someone you wanted on and by your side. I will miss him terribly.

Ray & Paula,
So sorry to hear of Paul's passing.
Servistar, Little League, hockey, and many many good times back in the day. Paul taught me so much about coaching and umpiring. Great man, great friend and the smile. He left us all with so much to cherish.
Rest in peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul at Home Depot for over 15 years. Let's say Paul definitely had a great presence. His great humor, his great laugh, his pony tail..lol. I knew Paul from his umpiring days as well when my son was young playing Westfield little league. Always fair and knew how to handle those parents that might voice their "frustrations" over a call. Paul was a good man and will be missed. He left his mark on many. My condolences to his family and to his many friends.

My first adult job was in 2008. I started at the Home Depot. He was in receiving and would take me under his wing and show me what to do and not to do in every situation. We had a little bit of rivalry as he was a giant Red Sox fan and I was a giant Rays fan. He would always ask how my team was doing as they had lost to the Red Sox the day before. No matter what job I did after that he would always come and check on me. Make sure I was doing what I was supposed to. He was definitely a huge bright spot in a dark world. I´ll always miss him. Rest easy

Ray and Paula-
Growing up, Paul was a staple in the hockey rink and it was always obvious that he was a great Father. He certainly set a high bar.
My thoughts and condolences are with you and your family.

As most of you know my dad was one of my heros...he tought me to be brave and respectful and honest....to fight for what I believe in. Sometimes there just arnt enough words and I've been struggling with them. For the "right" thing to say. Not only was my father my hero.. .he thought most kids in westfield my brother or my younger cousins age how to play sports...to have fun....and most importantly to win and loose with grace. I'm damn proud to be his daughter...
May you rest in peace...

My heartfelt condolences to Chris and the rest of Paul's family. I was able to talk with Paul the past couple of years while he was home about childhood memories and our Abner Gibbs days. He and Chris hired me as their petsitter for their cats who Paul loved alot and I also took care of their yellow lab Lola who is pictured in one of the photos with Paul.

Paul brought me and Ray to the only NFL game I ever went to. This was pre pats dynasty days, so they got destroyed, but it was still a great time. He will be missed

Met Paul when we were students at Abner Gibbs. He was always there with a smile and an ability to make you laugh. There were many years when I did not see him but whenever we would by chance meet it was like old home week. I will miss this guy, his smile, and wit. Most of all I would like to say Thank You Paul for being a friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul on the Westfield Little League Board and on the baseball fields. I´ll always remember how determined and effective he was in umpiring games. He was quick with the call and you knew not to second guess him. You´ll be missed my friend!

My first memory is wow that guy is tall. I was a young child when I met Paul. I loved his laugh. I loved that my parents friends lived right down the road. Our childhood was great and many fond memories with the Maynard family.

Paul, your quick wit, wisdom and sense of humor will be deeply missed. You were always there with a quick one liner to soften the blow.

I always felt safe and special when I was with my dad. I'm really going to miss just spending time with him watching sports, listening to music, and talking about life. Love you Dad.
