Paul McRoberts Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 10, 2023.
Paul John McRoberts, 92, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on July 1, 2023. Born on November 22, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, Paul spent the majority of his life in Unionville, Ohio, and was an anchor member of the small neighborhood community.

Paul was a respectful, thoughtful, and kind individual, known for his old-fashioned values and dependable nature, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of his family and friends.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jeanne McRoberts, and his three daughters, Tracy McRoberts (Begalke), Andrea (Bob) Muenker, Julie Evans, and his grandchildren Barrett, Olivia, Kyle, Marlin, Madeline, Finn, and great-grandson Walker. He was preceded in death by his son, Brent Evans and his first wife Jocquelyn McRoberts.

In addition to his dedication to his family, Paul served his country in the Navy from 1949 to 1956. Following his military service, Paul pursued a successful career as an engineer at Lubrizol, where he made significant contributions to the field.

Outside of his professional life, Paul had a passion for hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He was an avid model train enthusiast, spending countless hours perfecting his HO railway systems. Once retired, he served as a train engineer for a local park, bringing smiles to thousands of children over the years. He also enjoyed fishing, finding peace on the water and the thrill of reeling in a walleye or bass. Paul shared his love of fishing and model trains with his children and grandchildren, passing that knowledge and joy to future generations.

Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, dependability, and love for his family will forever be cherished.
