I was living out of the country when Paul passed, he and I shared a remarkable time as naturalists on a week-long whale watching expedition to the great whale breeding lagoons in Baja so many years ago. He added greatly to the adventure and a good and a knowledge and enthusiastic friend. Rest in peace my friend

I just met Paul while birding with his travel buddy, Peter Alden. He was so incredibly knowledgeable and everyone really enjoyed his company. He was patient and kind. He will be sorely missed.

Our Dear Paul, On behalf of the Conservation Commission and the Town of Nottingham, thank you for hosting outreach programs and nature walks enjoyed by all.
My Dear Paul, I will miss your vast avian expertise, notably the identification of a special single visitor, a Dark-eyed Junco, subspecies White-winged Junco, remarkably leucistic, here for several weeks in January 2020.
Mostly I will miss your casual stop by visits; you would pull into the driveway on your way home and call me on the phone. We'd be chatting and I'd realize where you were and come out to see you. Modest to a fault, I would learn, among other things, that Paul Miliotis hung out with the "Big Boys" I would teach about in my biology classes. Oh My!
It's been a privilege to have been your pupil and I have been enriched by your friendship.
Rest In Peace, Dear Paul.

Fair well Paul. May your new journey find an environment full of birds to be identified and new insects to be found. Your family will miss you. Say hello to your Mom. Uncle Jim Dadoly

Paul was my Dracut high school classmate. I remember him in math class as a quiet, nice boy. At our fiftieth class reunion, we talked for a long time about butterflies in Minnesota, where I live. It was then I found out about his travels and his devotion to his chosen profession as a Naturalist. I am pleased to have known such a nice and brilliant man

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
I had the privilege of spending quality time `under Paul´s extensive compassionate wing@ albeit too brief a time.
He encouraged me to explore, engage and challenge myself as he took me along on his journey of nature and all its wonderful creatures as if I were there with him.
Paul opened the Windows Of The World to me and I will bring him with me as I embrace his legacy.
You are once again one with nature and I will miss you my friend

To say that Paul was a most interesting fellow would be gross understatement. I only recently made his acquaintance, but will miss him and his stories of birding all over the world. Rest in peace.
