Mr. Miller was a tough teacher who expected his students to gain as much knowledge as possible. On the first day of class, he asked how many people are here for the second time and about nine people stood up. There were 30 people in the class. He gave spelling tests on Monday, One hundred word test of the most commonly misspelled words. Besides that, we were required to turn in essays a week. Before the first essay, I made an appointment to see him in his office before I finished the first essay which was a question; Are civilians more religious that marines or the other way around I asked him series of questions and them I left. It has been twenty-something years but I will never forget Killer Miller,

Paul was a wonderful friend and colleague. I learned so much about how to live a life from this funny no nonsense guy. Paul always spoke his mind and didn't suffer fools kindly. I loved to see him walking across campus toward me, not knowing what was going to come out of his mouth, but sure I would enjoy it. He will be missed.
