I had not heard about Paul's passing until just today. Quite a shock. He was a very dedicated and honest guy. He worked with a passion and energy not often seen. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends!!

I will miss my friend and coworker Paul. I will try not to mourn too long. He would not want that. I will celebrate the fact I knew him. He was a man with such a great attitude and desire to help others it was infectious. He lead by example. So many that never met him should have. I will see you again someday. You will be easy to find. I'll just keep an eye out for that great smile of yours :)

I worked with Paul many years ago at PSNS. He knew a lot about many things, and was always happy to share the knowledge he had. He worked hard, and you could tell by his nature he had a love for children and people in general. Looking at the photos, I can see that he loved animals, too. What people will remember about Paul are his kind heart, hearty laugh, and deep faith.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Paul was a kind and thoughtful person. He will be greatly missed.

Paul: You will be sorely missed. I enjoyed talking with you on the ferry ride back and forth from Annapolis. I am praying that your children will know the amazing peace that only Jesus can give in a time like this. You will be remembered as a wonderful friend and Godly example!!

Paul was always a gentlemen. As bright and positive as anyone could be. Always forward looking, supportive, and seeking ways to improve anything and everything in life. I had the opportunity attend Masters of Public Affairs courses with Paul. It must of been his military Officer training, because was extrordinarily organized and focused. Paul also had such a great way with people. He always talked glowingly about his family and spending time with his children. I know his spirit and the contributions to those that knew him will definately not be fogotten. He did as much as anyone of could to be a leader, a good father, and kind friend. I will miss him.

Paul was one of the best people I know.. He talked to me often of his love for his children and grandchildren whom he obvioulsly loved very much, next to his family his love for his church and the military were the things he always cared about. I went with Paul to several blood drives, he was very faithful in his committment to help our American heroes in any way he could. I wish more people could have been lucky enough to have met him, I will remember Paul always for his great spirit and unlimited love for his family.

I've known Paul for many years, both at work and on the soccer field with our daughters. He always called me 'mom' and he was one of my 'sons'. Your passion for life, love of family. God & friends, and committment to our country was the best I've ever seen in a human being. You will be missed.

Paul and I were both students in the Navy Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training course in Port Hueneme, California. Back then, I was still on active duty (Navy) so we would have great conversations about our sister services. He was a natural leader in our class, and was always willing to assist others with class projects and studying for the exams. Paul had a way of explaining how the theory we learned in the classroom could be applied to the shipyard and the Navy surface fleet. He was extremely professional ... he would always call me "Commander" in the classroom even though I kept insisting that he call me by my first name since we were in such an informal setting. He also provided me with valuable advice and mentorship as I prepared to transition to a career after the military. Thank you for your friendship and your service. God bless you and your family.

Paul yelled to me down the hall just the other day as he giggled walking towards me smiling. By the time he made it to me I was smiling too. That was his goal every day, to shed some sunshine on others. Now he's making heaven just as bright.

Paul, I was privileged to know and work with you. I loved, and was proud of, your commitment to Christ and the work of our Lord. You are an inspiration to many. It is a very sad day for us and you will be missed greatly. Oh, but what a wonderful and joyous day for you! To finally see your beloved Christ and hear those wonderful words, "Well done good and faithful servant." God bless you and may God's grace and peace be with your family dealing with their loss.

I served in the Army Reserves with Paul and later worked with him at the Shipyard. He always had a smile and a joke for me! He called me "Easy Money" and I called him "Major Miner" and we always laughed about that! You will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved you! My sincere sympathies to the family and close friends and rejoice in the knowing that you will all be together in Heaven, where Paul is smiling down on you all now.
Sincerely,

Dear Paul,
We never had the pleasure to meet, but I was the newest member of the family. My husband spoke so highly of you when your name came up in conversation. Good people go too soon. But god had another plan. You helped give your daughter, her husband, and their children the life theyve been wanting to have. And I'm glad to see you gave them that before you went. thank you for giving my husband the military advice you did. Only god knows where we'd be if you hadn't.
Rest In Peace.

Paul was a tremendous blessing to the Kitsap Rescue Mission as well as poor and homeless of Kitsap County. It was apparent to everyone around him that he had the love of Christ and being so, had to share it. He was a pivotal part in starting the Saturday meal site for KRM at Christian Life Center, facilitating the operation and all the details. I (personally) was inspired by Paul's willingness to just step in and do what was needed. He never had a complaint, even when things didn't go as expected. He will be missed by all of us at KRM. My prayers go out to his freinds, and family. We know that we will be reunited with him one day. Thank you Paul for being a man of God that shone a light so that others may see His glory.

I was lucky to call him a friend! Thank you for your service to our country and may God bless you and your family. You will be missed!

I've known Paul for 20 years. His heart was as big as all outdoors. His zest for life and his family, as well as for God were well known to all. We might go head-to-head on work issues, but we both knew that no matter the out come, we would always stay friends. This year, the food drive that he always started in the Code for Thanksgiving will have even more meaning, as we'll be doing it for him. I'll miss his prayer letters and his e-mails full of daily positives.

By just talking with your Dad, you knew immediately that he was filled with the love of God and doing His work by example. Such a wonderful man, devoted to his family and his friends, he will be missed so much. We can just picture him, however, looking down on everyone with his wonderful smile and great laugh. God bless all of you and keep you focused on your Dad's goodness. Love you all...Jerry and Vicki Little

My prayers go out to his family at this time of loss. But we do not mourn as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13) and can look forward to a glorious family reunion to come.

Paul, my dear friend......you will always be remembered as one who loved his God above all else and his children and grand children right next to God. And somehow, there was still so much love left to go around to others. To the homeless, to a Vet in need, to your church family, to your friends..........of which there are so many. Always patient, kind, with a smile that rarely ended!! Even the tears I saw were normally tears of joy!! You always offered a hand to help, a shoulder to lean on, and an ear to listen. No one can take your place. I'll never forget the laughs we had.the tears we cried together, and the lasting friendship we shared. I will always remember the total unconditional love you had for your kids and their kids. You were their "Rock"...and I know that. I only hope that we, your friends, can fill some of that void as you are now home in Heaven. Thank you God for loaning Paul to us for such a long time!!! I guess you missed him!!
