Jim Pietsch
April 1925 - May 2015
Paul J. "Jim" Pietsch went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2015, at his home in Paso Robles, Calif.
Born in April 1925 in Los Angeles, Jim joined the service following high school and was in combat during World War II. Following the war he returned to the U.S. and attended BIOLA to prepare for the ministry. He served as a missionary in Portugal, Spain, Tangier Morocco, Aruba ( Netherland Antilles). He then became a mission representative for the west coast of the U.S. promoting missionary work with TEAM. Jim retired to the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo County.
He was preceded in death by son, Mark; wife, Helen; brother, Bill and sister, Mary.
Jim is survived by brother, Bob Pietsch and sister, Barbara Cornelson; son, John Pietsch and daughter, Cheri Dunbar and their spouses; grandchildren: Lori, Ryan, Troy, Holly, Heidi, Shannon, Kari, Aimee, and Michael, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, May 28, at 11:30am to 1:30pm at Chapel of the Roses; with a graveside service following at 2:00pm.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday at 3:30pm at the Atascadero Gospel Chapel in Atascadero, CA. Please visit the Chapel of the Roses website for further information.

The family is planning on a memorial celebration and reunion in Oregon this summer in mid-August.

Dear John and Cheri, Happy to think of your dear dad, our Uncle Jim, being in Heaven with Aunt Helen and with Mom and Dad and many others who knew and loved him. But sad to think of your heavy loss. We were blessed to have had great fathers.
