LANCASTER – Mr. Paul Huey Plyler, age 72, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Hospice House of Union County. 
He was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Lancaster County, the son of the late Hugh Columbus Plyler and Dera Hammond Plyler, and was the husband of Susan Marshall Plyler. 
Mr. Plyler retired from Car Quest. He loved riding horses, camping, hunting, fishing and was a great outdoorsman. Mr. Plyler was a Mason, a member of the Rich Hill Fire Department and Rich Hill Baptist Church.    
Mr. Plyler is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan M. Plyler; a son, Travis Scott Plyler and his fiancee, Lori K. Ellis, of Lancaster; a daughter, Carmen Plyler Lowery of Lancaster; a brother, James Lynn Plyler of Fort Mill; two sisters, Mary Rose McCants of Kannapolis, N.C., and Jean Pardue and her husband, Bobby, of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Joshua Lee Plyler, Toni Montana Lowery, Brittany Lowery Sanchez and Jonathon Scott Lowery; five great-grandchildren, Greysen, Noah, Sophia, Karlee and Dalton; and his beloved dog, Jessie.
Mr. Plyler was preceded in death by a son, Jason Samuel Plyler; and a son-in-law, Tony Scott Lowery.
The celebration of life funeral service for Mr. Plyler will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at Rich Hill Baptist Church, by the Revs. Rod Yow and Thurmond Johnson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the family life center and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rich Hill Baptist Church, 1557 E. Doc Garris Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
