Paul C. Porter

Paul Chipman Porter, 64, of Plymouth MA passed away on August 12, 2023 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was incredibly strong during his battle and was an inspiration to all. Paul is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Kaye and their two children, Samuel and Lilliana, of Plymouth. He was born February 25, 1959 and was raised in Easton. He is the son of the late Douglas D. Porter and his surviving and loving mother Nancy (O'Connor) Porter of Bourne. Paul graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 1977 and went onto the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture. At the university he was a brother of the Beta Kappa Phi fraternity. Paul's excellent communication skills and attention to detail led him into the professional health care recruiting industry. For the past eight years he was the Director of Provider Recruitment-Primary Care at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Though he played basketball and baseball during his youth and in high school, he was an avid Boston Bruins fan. His favorite enjoyments were spending time with his family, saltwater fishing, and tending to his incredible flowering gardens. He will be remembered for his talent in sharing a funny story or joke, and for his kindness. Paul's determination during his battle with cancer was evident when he set a goal three years ago to witness Sam's college graduation and Lily's high school graduation, feats that he accomplished. Paul is also survived by his brother David of Foxboro, his brother Stephen and his wife Cyndi of Abington, and his sister Donna Farmer and her husband Tim of Milton, along with several nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his immediate and extended families and his friends.
