Paul David Ratliff, 72, of Beckley, formerly of Bolt, went to be with the Lord June 13, 2016.
Born October 11, 1943 in Kanawha County to Arlond W. and Belva Mullins Ratliff. Paul was one of eight children. Now survived by brother Neil and wife Elaine of Delaware.
Paul was a loving family man who was very generous, had a kind heart, a hard worker and never met a stranger. It brought him great joy to share his Faith and rededication to Christ. He was a master storyteller who enjoyed visiting with family and friends. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Margie Persinger Ratliff. He was the son-in-law of Ernest Persinger of Bolt, WV.
His legacy includes their daughters, Karen (1963-1988), Paula Darby and husband James of Jane Lew, WV, and Kelley Warner and husband Steve of Gainesville, FL; grandsons, Jason Darby and wife Erin of Centraville, VA, Andrew Darby and wife Lisa of Camden, WV and their children Andi Jo and Hank, Bryan Darby and fiancé Sarah Marsh of Jane Lew, WV, Jeffrey Garrison, Joshua Garrison, Austin Warner, Joshua Warner and Noah Warner of Gainesville, FL. He will be sadly missed by a host of family and friends.
To honor Paul’s wishes friends and family may gather on Monday, June 20, 2016 between 3 and 5pm at Calloway Heights Baptist Church Axillary Building for potluck dinner and celebration of life.
Paul’s final resting place will be at Mt. Tabor Davis Addition Cemetery in Beckley, WV.

We have only met Paul a few times through Neil and Elaine, but feel as though we have known him forever. He captured his entire audience when he told his stories. We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing and send our condolences to Margie, his daughters and grandchildren, and Neil and Elaine. May he rest in peace as he enters the gates of heaven to join those who have gone before him. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!

Our prayers are with you Margie, Paula and Kelley. It is so hard to believe that Paul is gone from us. He was such a great guy. We will miss him so much. I am so glad we got to spend time with him when he was doing so well; it meant a lot to Neil. We have so many wonderful memories of his funny stories and pranks that he pulled on everyone. We love him to the moon and back and know he is in a better place now. It is everyone who is left behind that have to deal with a big hole that is left behind. We love you all. God bless you.
