God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Eternal rest grant unto him, o lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.

I only met Mr. Rivas a couple of times, but each time he was so extremely kind, sweet and friendly.
I do, however, know his son Bryan and instantly saw where Bryan got his sweet, kind and friendly nature. I am blessed to know and be friends with Bryan and because of this friendship feel I was able to know that his father was an awesome man. I also believe that Bryan's mother was very much the same but I never had the chance to meet her.
Just know that now your father is whole and with the love of his life watching over you as you continue in your path of life.
So, Bryan and family, I wish for you that your happy, fond and cherished memories of your father, Paul, will continue to guide you through your grief.
All our love,
Carol & Lee Almeida

PAUL , WAS SINGLE AND WORKING AT MERCED THEATER. HE WORKED PUTING UPCOMING MOVIES ON BILLBOARDS AND USERED PEOPLE IN AND OUT WHEN NEEDED.
WE WERE BOYS SELLING NEWS PAPERS FOR THE SUN-STAR MERCED PAPER. TOWARD CLOSING TIME WE HAD TIME TO KILL. WE WOULD GATHER AT BACK DOOR OF THE THEATER. PAUL WOULD LET US IN FOR FREE TO SEE A MOVIE. WE STAYED ABOUT HOUR AND HAD TO RUSH BACK TO NEWS PAPER OFFICE AND SETTLE UP WITH OUR BOSS. WE GOT PAID DAILY. THE PAPER SOLD FOR 10 CENT BACK THEN...HIS BROTHER TOMMY SOLD PAPERS TOO. THAT WAS BACK IN THE EARLY 50"S ...MAYBE 1952/53/54. THE KOREAN WAR WAS STILL ON 1952. I WAS 11 OR 12 BACK THEN. WE DID NOT HAVE MONEY BACK THAN BUT HE WOULD TELL US TO COME BACK AND HELP HIM CLEAN THE THEATER.
