Ron Jesterhoudt (Mr. J)

Paul was my student at Irvine Elementary School in Port Coquitlam in the early 70s...a red-haired, freckle-faced kid who used to hang out with Danny Neal, Derrick Kreitenwolfe, Ian Gillespie, Shannon Murphy...they were quite the bunch. Paul was a solid kid, fun-loving, compassionate, (not too serious a student), played hockey at the Poco Rink, just destined to be an all-round guy. Here it is, 50 years later, and I would have liked to grab a coffee with him and find out what he's been up to all these years. Anyway, I'll see him when it's my time to pass on. I remember the 12 year old Paul fondly. I agree that he left this world too soon, and much to young. Go with God, Paul. -- "Mr. J"

To the Robitaille Family,
I just today learned of Paul's passing and wanted to pass on my condolences. I knew Paul many years ago when I worked with both Paul and his Dad Bill at the Ioco Refinery. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Robitaille Family
I was very saddened to hear of Paul's passing. I have fond memories of our families get togethers, when we were small, as our dads were best friends who grew up together in Ioco. Please know you are all in my thoughts.

Dear Pat and family
We are so saddened to hear the news.
Having only met Paul once it was enough to know that we would have liked to spend much more time with him; he was so welcoming to Glenn and I.
Sending prayers and condolences to you Pat and the whole family.

Dearest Pat
I was so saddened to learn of Paul's passing in fact absolutely shocked , far to young to leave this earth , it is times like these we ask ourselves why . I have a lot of fond memories of Paul going to Jr. high at Pearkes and then POCO Senior Secondary , playing hockey on the same team with him .
I remember the night you 2 met at Bill's party so long ago , Paul was a gentle soul and you made the perfect couple , he would want you to carry on and continue being a great mother and soon to be grandmother,
God bless and take care

Although I had not seen Paul for many years, I have the fondest memories of him as a little boy, spending many hours a week in our house or yard, and my Mother treated him like one of the family. He was a really good boy, and I have no doubt he grew up to be a really nice man. I send heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Paul's passing was such a shock to me. My last conversation with him was, of course, about family. He always had such a look of love and admiration on his face when talking about you or the kids Pat. He always felt he was the most blessed man on the earth because of all of you. In reflecting about that conversation these past few days, it came to me that it isn't how long a man lives but how deep his life is. Paul's life was deep and rich with the love of family and friends. He left an amazing legacy that is testament to the fierce love and pride he had for all of you. For him it was always family first - always. I pay tribute and honour to a great man who walked this earth and has left it so suddenly. I will remember his laugh and brilliant smile the most and how he always lit up a room with kindness. Paul has left a footprint on our hearts and I hope the wonderful memories you have sustain you all in the days ahead. Wrapping you all in love with our thoughts and prayers {{{hugs}}}

To the Robitaille family:
Paul will always be remembered as a friend first and co-worker second. He loved his family, spoke of you daily, and was so proud of each and every one of you. He was an incredible person and will truly be missed. May the love of family and friends be with you all at this very difficult time and may those beautiful yesterdays always remain in your hearts.
