Worked for Paul at the Dunfey Sheraton Lexington as his F&B Director back in 1975-76. He was a great GM and team leader.

I met Paul at the corporate office of Omni Hotels. Like everyone else who knew Paul, I loved his warmth and sense of humor. We joked about whether something came from the Italians (Paul) or whether something came from the Greeks (me). Paul's genuine love and pride of family were always so evident, and their happiness and welfare were paramount in his life. I am so sad I will not see him at the Omni reunion this month. We all loved him.

Mr. Sacco taught Law for Innkeeper through HSMA which I completed over 50 years ago. His kindness and example of what the hospitality business encompassed lead me to a career in the industry. He will be missed.

Dear Madelyn and Family, My deepest condolences. I worked with Paul years ago at travel & tourism. We use to talk about family and food. He would always light up when talking about you. One time I gave home homemade raviolis. He told me you guys loved them. Paul was a class act and very gracious. He will be missed. May he Rip

I joined Omni Hotels as the Chief Marketing Officer with plenty of consumer products marketing experience. The only hotel experience I had was as a very frequent guest at all the major hotel chains. Paul was so generous with his time at helping me translate those marketing and guest experiences into important strategies for Omni Hotels to implement. I will alway be grateful to the general manager who had great hospitality marketing insights and helped me in my career. I will also be grateful for the wonderful dinners we shared together at the Omni Shoreham and the Omni Netherland Plaza.

Mr. Sacco was amazing. He was graceful, sharp, generous, classy - and funny. He was impressive for me as a young (and later...less young) man in that he managed to be a man of levity and weight all at once. He seemed to relish affording people experiences, consistent with his illustrious career. He took a couple of Cowboy fans to a Redskin game, for example - and introduced us to garlic fries. He loved it as much as we did. Rest in peace and love, giant Paul Joseph Sacco. You were a king.

We shared the name initials and I remember his leather briefcase with his initialized engraved on it. Class act all the time.

As I was a much younger cousin, Paul was a tall, handsome, and rather mysterious family member to me.
When I had graduated university and was working, I found myself in Washington DC on business a few times, and remember the Omni Shoreham Hotel as their `base´. On one such trip, Paul & Madelyn invited me to join them for a celebration at the Omni Georgetown and the kick off of the Beaujolais Nouveau season hosted by the French Embassy. It was such fun!
Later, when Paul was leading the Netherlands Hotel in Cincinnati, and I was an executive at Liberty Mutual, during a conversion in Loveland, OH, we arranged for our teams to stay at the Netherlands and Paul and his team, among other things, designed a wonderful banquet for my organization. It was simply perfect - as his attention to detail and excellent taste were evident in every aspect.
My prayers are with Madelyn, Dena, PJ, Alexis and their families
Riposte en pace, cugino, riposte en pace.

MR Sacco took me and PJ and the Good Brothers out for a wonderful bday celebration while we were at Brown. Such a funny, outgoing, engaging personality. Always joking with us. We had many dinners but my first such birthday dinner with Mr Sacco was most memorable.
