Paul E. Schneider

Paul Eugene Schneider, Sr., age 89, of McCook, NE, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2023, at 1:23 pm EST at the Southland Health and Rehabilitation in Peachtree City, GA. Paul was born on September 16, 1933, to Dean and Margaret (Blakeslee) Schneider on a farm south of Imperial, NE. When he was 16, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Maranatha Bible Camp near North Platte, NE. He also met the love of his life, Delores Refior, at Maranatha Bible Camp. They were married at Maranatha in 1951. Paul was a member of the McCook Evangelical Free Church and the Gideons, and for many years he had a column in the religion section of the McCook Daily Gazette.

Paul is survived by his wife, Delores Schneider of Newnan, GA; 5 children Sherry (Bob) Shults of Denver, CO, Pamela (Darrell) Daum of Murdo, SD, Paul Jr. (Diane) Schneider of Sharpsburg, GA, Carl (Cindy) Schneider of Newnan, GA, and Robert (Karon) Schneider of Luquillo, PR; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters Lenora Rogers of Meade, KS, and Carolyn Schneider of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, David, James, Bob (twin brother), and Earl.

The graveside service celebrating Paul's life is Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, 96 Jefferson Street, in Newnan. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan.
