Jeanne--

We were made to feel so welcome at Buffalo Covenant Church when we came in August of 1979. You and Paul welcomed us, encouraged us, and taught us so much. We were one of a few couples new to the area (and not related to anyone else at church or in town). We thank you for the gift of friendship over those years. Harvey and I will continue to uphold your entire family in prayer as you work through this difficult life change.

Growing up at Salem with Paul as the Pastor was a very special time in my life. He was the first Pastor I remember I was five when he arrived, and left my first year of confirmation. He will be sadly missed not only by myself but also the entire Halli family. Our sympathy goes out to his family. May God with you in your time of healing.

Paul, You have left a great big hole in our hearts with your leaving! I cannot imagine how bad the burden would be without the Holy spirit that you taught us to rely on. I love the mischeivous little boy in you that never allowed growing up to spoil the fun! You are greatly missed and loved.

Dear Jeanne,

My cousin in California sent me the notice of Paul's death, as we were both in the college-career group at First Cov. with you and Paul in the early 1960's. You may remember me as Karen Holmberg. Ray and I were married in 1963, and October 3 it will be three years since God called him home. He, too, was a pastor, and if you would ever like to contact me or get together, please feel free to e-mail or call. When Ray was ill, he told everyone, "God is good," and it's true, but your loss is great. I will pray for you.

Love in Christ, Karen Lindholm

Our family and our church were blessed by Paul through his son, Greg. Greg and Angie were part of our congregation while they lived in Iowa. They are a living testament to what a fine father and Christian example Paul must have been. The prayers and support of the Shueyville United Methodist Church are with you.

Pastor Paul was a large part of my life at Crosstown. He was a part of many spiritual milestones in my walk. His loving memory will always be with me. What a strong, loving man of God he was. He's missed my many, but we all rejoice he is home with the Father happy and healed.

We enjoyed and appreciated Pastor Siwek in his ministry at Buffalo Covenant. We was a true servant of Christ and we were blessed by his preaching, Bible studies and his leadership. We know that God will comfort, strengthen and guide his family in this time of great loss.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

I grew up in Salem Covenant Church (Duluth) with Pastor Paul - his Polish ancestry amongst a staid, stoic, and solidly Swedish congregation. What a treat to learn from him and be confirmed by him - and to see that pastors are also human and can love snowmobiling! Pastor Paul was, without a doubt, the most influential person in my life and I thank God (and Jeanne!) for the time He allowed him to spend with us "up north". Blessings.

Pastor Paul will always be fondly remembered as a great Christian man. He wasn't afraid to witness about Christ, or show his love, or lead his church. We called him "Passionate Paul" & he was a wonderful example to us all.

My sympathies to the family of Paul Siwek. I used to attend services with my Grandma and Grandpa (Carl and Lillian Bauman) at Salem Covenant in Duluth, MN, when he was a young pastor. Pastor Siwek meant the world to my Grandparents. So sorry to hear of your loss.

I first met Paul Siwek when I was a Jr. High kid at Redeemer Covenant Church. Paul spoke at our retreat for three or four years in a row, and God really used him in our lives. It was always great to see him in the (many) years since then. God used Paul Siwek for his glory. Peace and joy to his memory.

My heart goes out to Pastor Paul's family. He was a great man that gave, comforted, and taught many people including myself but most of all, he brought me to know and accept the Lord Jesus. Pastor Paul will always have a very special place in my heart and in my children's heart. Today my life is better because I knew him and for that I will always be thankful and he will always be remembered for his compassionate leadership and dilegent beliefs.

In loving thoughts,

Janelle, Stephanie, and Jake.
