Paul Sproviero Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 2 to Dec. 3, 2022.
Paul Joseph Sproviero 64, of Bloomington, MN, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 of natural causes. Paul was born March 12, 1958, in Stamford, Connecticut to Frank and Joan Sproviero. Paul grew up in Trumbull Connecticut and graduated from Trumbull High School in 1976. He attended Norwalk Technical College from which he also graduated. Paul moved from Connecticut to California and worked in the I.T. field for most of his life, working more recently for Abbott Laboratories out of Minnesota.

Paul's relationship with God was the center of everything that Paul did. Paul was invited by his sister Alicia, to attend a church service at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside California in 1989. When the gospel was presented and the invitation offered to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, Paul without hesitation, rushed down the aisle to respond. Paul always had the heart of a servant and while living in California, Paul continued to attend Harvest Christian Fellowship where he served as an usher. Paul also volunteered to work at the evangelistic crusades that Harvest would put on across the country. Whatever or wherever the need, Paul was always willing to serve. Paul moved to Minnesota in 2003 while working for the Toro company. Paul began attending Calvary Chapel Twin Cities until the present and continued to serve as an usher and a Sunday school teacher. He also continued to travel to whatever city a Harvest Crusade might be held. Since moving to Minnesota, Paul adopted the Minnesota Twins as his favorite baseball team. Paul was their biggest fan and loved going to the Twins games with his church family. The other defining characteristic of Paul's life was his generosity. He frequently gave away tickets to Twins games and he opened his Florida townhouse for many families to vacation there. Paul lived out what the scripture says that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Paul will be loved and greatly missed.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joan Sproviero. Paul is survived: by sister: Alicia (Dave) Broderick, nephews: Scott and Shawn, niece: Brianna, and great-nephews: Carter, Caleb, and Scott III.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11 A.M. at Calvary Chapel Twin Cities, 9220 Bass Lake Rd. Suite 100, New Hope, MN. 55428

The service will be live streamed on YouTube at: https://m.youtube.com/@cctc/videos or at https://calvarychapeltwincities.com/

I met Paul during SAP setup for Receiving inspection at St Jude Medical (Abbott) in 2013. He is patience, care and loving. He tought me with all his knowledge. It really great memories and he always like to end the french words - 'Voila' to tell me it's not too hard. Some people has left but will leave the foot prints forever. He's one of them. I missed Paul a lot.

I'm so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I didn't know him well, but felt like he was a good friend. He was a super nice person. Played tennis with two of my tennis groups in Fort Myers where he had a condo.

I met Paul in 2009 while attending Calvary Chapel Twin Cities.
He was always friendly, cheerful, and loved serving the Lord.
He would get excited talking about the next Harvest event he
was planning to attend. He invited me to one or two Twins
games every year (that he paid for), and faithfully forwarded
Charles Stanley's daily devotional for years. I'm certain Paul
received a warm welcome in Heaven.

I worked with Paul at Abbott. As others have remarked he was an exceptionally warm and caring person who was absolutely committed to doing his very best on any task to which he was assigned. He was such a positive and joyful presence in the office! I´m sure he is at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Paul, since I met him, left an impression of a person that cared greatly about other people and life! He always shared what he had. I recall the oranges he brought for all of us from California, his baseball tickets (when he heard my daughter played softball, he immediately offered us tickets), and even his home in Fort-Meyers. What a great person! Paul has left behind a legacy that will be missed! I am so glad I got to know Paul and he will not be forgotten.

Our family first met Paul at Harvest. He was an usher and we were going attending church for the first time after a long break. His face beamed with the love of Christ, and he always responded to our, "see you next week" with a, "God willing - here, there, or in the air." We became friends quickly, and shared many memories over the years. Whenever we reconnected, it was like no time had passed. We think it will be like that when we get to heaven too, acknowledgement of our friendship, yet like no time has passed. We are better people for having known Paul, getting the daily devos he sent out. We miss him here, but we are sure he heard, "well done good and faithful servant, enter into His rest". Sending prayers for his whole family The Beasleys

I worked with Paul at various times since 2016. Paul always had a smile, and positive attitude, that made whatever situation we were in much better. He would show me what needed to be done, and the best way to do it - and we would end by saying "Wala" with our success. He was a blessing to all he interacted with and will be greatly missed.

I worked with Paul at Toro and he always had a positive attitude. I used to run with him. He loved running races and was very involved in the local running community. He will be missed by many.

I remember when Scott brought Paul out to Glamis and dunes w where he stayed out there camping with us for a couple days. Like everyone else I would take on a dune ride felt scared , like a crazy roller coaster ride and they were going to die. Paul´s attitude was that God was always going to keep him safe. I couldn´t scare Paul as if I was going to fly over the top of a sand dune mountain. His attitude was Gods got this one. YeeeeeeHiiiiiiiiiu
