Paul Timmers Sr.

i was 19 years old and went to his dealer ship to buy a car with my dad used to watch his commercials on tv all the time. bought a brand new 1967 ss Camaro from timmers gave $3000 for it . always remember that day

Not a day goes by that I don´t think of Tim and the time I spent working for him at Timmers Chevrolet. He was a great boss and I miss those days........

almost a year has gone by since Mr. Timmer's passing. We are thinking of the Timmers family.

Dear Aunt Donna and family.
I am very sorry for your loss. Although I was not fortunate enough to know Uncle Paul well, I will always remember his smile. My prayers are with you in this difficult time.

Mrs. Timmers, I am a little late entering this but I wanted to do it. I worked part-time at the dealership while a student at Georgia State, working on factory warranty claims. I started there when it was Downtown Chevrolet, owned by Hal Smith, in September, 1955 and was there in October, 1957, when Mr. Timmers and his people took over. I stayed for awhile and then left to concentrate on college. It was a good experience and I still have good memories of the whole period. Tim and his crew were very competent and it is startling for me now at 70 years of age to realize that apparently he was only 31 at the time. I am sorry for your loss. The picture looks exactly like I remember him. I subsequently became Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of Cox Communications in Atlanta and stayed there 32 years. Time moves too fast.

Mr. Timmers big smile and warm heart will be remembered for years to come. He was a great dealer and always put his family first. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have enjoyed working with Mr. Timmers for the past several years. He was a very nice man. What I will miss most are the January lunches with Mr. and Mrs. Timmers and Russell. I always looked forward to those sandwiches and the great stories that Mr. Timmers would tell. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I have been part of the Timmers family since I was 16 years old on Whitehall Street. I am now 57. Mr. Timmers always seemed to have a smile on his face whenever I saw him. He gave me a babybed for my first daughter, Cindy who is now 35 and married with boys of her own. The years have flown! I will always remember him. Tim, Nancy, and to all the family we are very sorry for your loss-he will always be in our memories. God Bless you June Smith

My prayers are with each of you. Donna please take each day and do the things "Tim"would want you to do. Having been in the same situation it is so hard to loose a loved one.

I will cherish the memories of his grateful smile in our gatherings with Pam, Bill and their boys. Pam is a great daugher-in-law. I know he will be deeply missed by every one.

So sorry I could not be with the family at this time.

In the short time that I have known Tim, he has truly left an impression in my heart. I will miss his smile and his hard work in the fitness center here at Shepherd Center. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mr. Timmers was a man that epitomized kindness. He never met a stranger and loved to love life. My heart goes out to Mrs. Timmers and my brother Tim.
I assure you that Mr. Timmers will be greatly missed but never forgotten. I appreciate every kind word, story and advice he ever offered. It has been an honor to have been blessed with the privilege of knowing him.

I was privileged to work for Mr. Timmers more than 20 years. He was always a gentleman of the highest integrity. I can only echo the comments made by Noel Farrar in a previous statement and wish they were mine.

We are saddened to hear this, my prayers for peace and comfort are with you all,

I am so sorry for your loss and I'd like to share a couple of scriptures that I find to be really comforting in times such as yours.
Our Savior Jesus Christ gave us this hope that we can live again, to be resurrected. He said all those in tombs he will remember, he will call them and they will answer! How beautiful! I hope that I'm around in that time like you so that I can see my loved ones.
To assure you, these conditions of war, injustice, sickness, will not be here anymore. Psalms 72 tells us what changes Jesus' reign will bring to us and the earth: food, peace, death will not be anymore, only true, peaceful subjects of God will be... and we'll be surrounded by the ones we love so dearly. I hope I have been of some help...and
my family, friends and I send our love and we will keep all of you in our prayers.

Dear Aunt Donna and family. We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Paul's passing. He was so fortunate to have the blessings of family and lifetime of beautiful memories. We will never forget his sweet smile. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr."T" personified that leadership philosophy of surrounding ones' self with professionals then allowing them to lead. This created an atmosphere of confidence trust that made those that worked for him feel a part of his team/family. I, as do all of us that had the priviledge to work for Mr. "T", will be forever gratefull for the opportunities and memories knowing him gave us.

I was saddened to hear about the death of Uncle Paul Timmers. I imagine how difficult this is for your family and for my father Jack. Since I was a little girl whenever I heard my parents talk about Uncle Paul Timmers, I would picture his big, friendly smile. I remember one family event when he had a camera strapped around his neck and spent lots of time taking pictures. He made it easy to smile for the camera because he had such a big smile to mimic. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Tim was one hell of a great guy! Loved to hear & tell a good joke.Loved a great meal & a good martini. Loved his family & frieds even more. We will miss him dearly !!
